Just a word to the wise, that each of us would approach the Lord / His Word (through our Bible theology) in humility.
Lord, search me and show me where I have been so sure I knew about certain things in your word, but I am wrong. I ask for the gift of humility that I will admit it when you show me where I have been in error. Forgive me for thinking that I know more than I really do, and focus me on listening to your instruction even when it may contradict the understanding I currently have about various teachings in your word.
I am only a man, subject to error and I need and want your correction, however and whenever you may bring it to me!
I pray this for each of us who have surrendered to you as Lord and Savior! Amen
