The Power Of Faith In Elden Ring

The Power Of Faith In Elden Ring
Faith is the last stat left for me to test in the CNT. I think it is safe to say that faith seems much stronger than it was in DS3, which is great. This is just a sample of how strong faith can be in Elden Ring (before release) as well as how it scales, both for damage and healing. In my opinion, faith seems about as strong as intelligence in Elden Ring so looks like its really just personal preference, when it comes down to choosing which one to use.

  1. If you want an idea for content: speed of procing bleed from reduvias weapons art and poison from coiled shield or other status effects and how it scales with arcane. I bet you there will be some interested Arcane build players.

  2. Honestly, I just found your channel because I’m addicted to Fromsoftware games. Just want to say… if you keep up this type of content, you’re going to do very well on YouTube. Great work your videos are great

  3. Hey! Thanks for your work. I have a question that riddles me. Lightning infused weapons don't scale with faith or int anymore, but I've noticed that lightning damage of the weapon still scales with something that is not written. Do you know how does it work?

  4. Really enjoying the video and how you're breaking it down for beginners like me. Looking forward to checking out your stream. Love that your channel already has memes and inside jokes for Elden Ring.

  5. I recommend you try the Heal spell with your Spell Tool leveled and unleveled. In DS2 they made heal spells scale with only your FAITH and not your Spell Tool. If they did this again, it might explain why the Heal and Beast Claw scale differently. DS2 had a very different system, but FROMSOFT tend to reuse pieces of past design, so it's possible.

  6. Firstly, thank you for all the research! Your time and efforts are appreciated
I recently heard ER is supposed to feature a 'perfect' block mechanic, similar to Sekiro. Info from fextra:

Similar to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, during Combat you should be careful not to lose your Stance in order to avoid getting staggered. You will also want the break you Enemy's Stance in order to make them stagger, giving you a chance to perform a critical attack. During combat, you can block your Enemy's attack by holding the block button, however if you block each attack only when it's necessary, the game will consider that you performed a perfect Block. Perfect Blocks will save your Stance, and waste the Enemy's Stance, but if you block earlier or keep blocking longer than necessary, you will lose some Stance while your Enemy saves it.

Would you be up for testing this?

  7. Please do us all a favor and don't reference Chris Brown (who beats women) again. Maybe it was meant to be edgy and you don't like Chris, but the best thing you can do in that case is to either bring him up only to remind people he's a horrible person or just don't reference him at all so he can become totally irrelevant, thank you.

  8. Beast Claw is probably going to be a mid-game find, so it's not really that OP if that's the case. Also, while it is rather strong, it has more shortcomings than Forbidden Sun/Chaos Bed Vestiges (which were super strong in their respective games).

If nothing else, at least FTH now has an actual damage spell that doesn't completely suck shit until some future DLC like with Dark Souls 3.

Also, if you're considering FTH = INT based off of Beast Claw alone, I wouldn't go that far. INT has much better range and speed. Overall the "damage" might be comparable, but the overall ease of use wouldn't be.

  10. This isn’t all that accurate considering in the full game you will most likely be able to upgrade that Sacred Seal, once fully upgraded the scaling for faith will be a better letter like S or A, giving you much more benefit from leveling up faith to the soft or hard caps.

  11. Aye man dope videos keep up the good work! Just had a question .. Can you make a build thats like everything together so you can use yo sword faith and intelligence ? Cuz confessor is sword and faith but can i upgrade it and make it a intelligence one too so that i could use a whole buncha spells ??

  12. Beast claw might just be meant for early game. Other damage dealing faith spells might scale better. Either that, or they lowered the soft cap for damage dealing faith spells in order to encourage going faith + dex/str. Or perhaps there are some nutso buttso faith spells that require a very low soft cap.
