  1. Hearing grown men who play Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Animal Crossing and what not call this game childish sounds bias. xD
Gladly we have Andy and Parris who actually played more than 1h of this pearl.

  2. maybe I misinterpreted Blessing's tone, but whats wrong with it being a bit more geared towards a younger audience? some of these games can still be enjoyed by an older audience, and this one seems very much in that vein too

  3. You all mention Plucky Squire feels like Nintendo, but were just pointing to Devolver as the publisher.

There is actually a strong Nintendo connection! The creator of the game James Turner is a long time GameFreak vet. He was the first (and only?) Western artist to design Pokémon. This is his new studio's first game!

  4. Coming from someone who has like 80 hours in stardew Im having a blast with mistria.

Honestly I think this podcast has single handedly managed to sell like 10k copies of this game lol

  5. Mike: “I love this game” “I had an absolute blast”

Also Mike: “This game is not for me”

    WTF?

Dude sounds just like someone who’s scared to admit he likes animated movies because they are “for children”.

  6. "To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." – CS Lewis
