  1. Keep the old superjump vertical movement the same from overwatch 1 meanwhile also add the rest of the movement from the overwatch 2 like backwards ga and angled ga. Also, I’m sorry but Mercy sounds like she’s had too much coffee today. Like I can hear a disconnect from her old voice lines when it’s said after her new voice lines, it also sounds like she talks more now compared to overwatch 1, which is probably not even the case in the first place.

  2. I kinda am enjoying this version. Super jumping isn’t that bad on console, you just look at the ground a little bit. And I love being able to sling shot side to side. I just wish prop jump was still here, but I’m ok if this is the GA we get at launch

  3. I've played a few games with this and yeah, I can definitely do jukes I've never done before with Mercy and it's kinda funny 😂. I just wish the meter charges up faster and that you could go as high as original SJ. Also for the love of god, they need to rework Valk and her healing instead cuz it's abyssmal compared to other supports..

  4. The directional control is amazing, I just wish that it was as easy to get a super jump as the old bug, it def makes me playvback and use hard cover even more than I do now! I'd say it def balances her over heals with someone like Zen. It's interesting, to say the least.

I need more time to play with the charge bar and possible directional plays.

  5. I'm kinda liking it to be honest, at times I'm actually able to play Mercy more aggressively this way, especially with her new backwards bounce letting me cancel a guardian angel that would normally get me killed.

  6. feels like everyone's already forgotten the first changed version of sj they tried, in the last beta… tbh after these last two i think that was the best one, it's much simpler and functional than either of these, people liked it, and it's balanced too if they just figure out how to keep people from using the double stacked super jump that like sent her up into the skybox lol

  7. Not a fan. Her old super jump was fine. This new GA just seems to be distracting , especially in a much faster paced 5v5 overwatch. Mercy just looks more unfun and she definitely can’t SJ or GA as high as in OW1.

  8. yassss! when i first saw the changes i got excited because it looked like it had way more movement control, actually relied on skill and had more potential than the original superjump. i'm so glad that you've confirmed it now!

  9. i think the reason i do not like this new GA change is that it incentifies you to flick ur cam or direction a lot and u get dizzy, but most importantly i think for the way i play, i loose valuable sight of important things occuring in a fight. So it kind of punishes u for superjumping using the direction of up or away from a fight. Where as with the old one you could just do it and still keep an eye on things without loosing vision for a brief time. Anyway <3 :3 have fun ^^

  10. When you realize mercy in overwatch 1 can literally slingshot just as well, if not better, and og sj up is a lot more smoother than this 🫠 I still hate these changes.

What’s worse is that the devs won’t admit these mercy changes were a mistake. I play on console and flicking your joystick on top of switching beam targets AND looking at the charge meter is giving me migraines 😵‍💫

  11. Make the meter stay for an extra .5 secinds after the ga ends would alleviate the issues for console and also increasing the vertical distance gained from sj would be perfect

  12. Uhm…. is it just me or is the character dialogue audio SUPER weird and over the top? Like Hoshi pls tell me you just auto tuned it or edited out the other sounds??? 😭😭😭 PLS what was all of that

  13. My problem IS the distance you have to be to charge to SJ though honestly, I’m normally always by my team and now I have to be in the back lines to get targeted by long ranged weapons instead of clustered with my team mates. Before I could be like 1 inch away from them and fly max height in the air, but now I have to stand more then 10 meters behind them. I definitely think the maps help, as I didn’t find her SJ as useful on Colo Push, but her you have a lot of distance so I can see it being useful. But for like Control, I don’t know.

  14. Idk how I feel about saying "this is terrible devs pls don't touch mercy" then going "actually it's good" like what?? Watching mercy gameplay now is nauseating, having to flick your camera is still terrible and headache inducing, mercy players on console are completely screwed.

  15. This video made me rethink my opinion,I could DEFINETLY see this as a way to survive more frequently, and as a mercy main who loves to fly from ally to ally and be in air? This is actually a buff!

  16. Tbh I saw the idea that not putting a movement input when charged should just fly you up. I actually think that if they added this the ability would be much better

  17. As 3800 masters console mercy player one of the new aspects I absolutely hate is the change to guardian angel. First of all I noticed every time you use it, it makes a really loud noise that notifies the enemies. Secondly whenever I use guardian angel it disconnects my beam to the person I'm connected to. Thirdly it doesn't give me the opportunity to hold Rez instead I have to tap it which feels really clunky. Lastly and most importantly in ow 1 I use guardian angel almost all game because it makes me fly around a lot easier wherefore in ow 2 it completely stops my momentum whenever I slingshot myself from a teammate. This being the most annoying aspect of the new guardian angel has caused me to barely ever use this ability because it just feels trash. The only positive I got from it was that super jump Rez was a lot easier to do but even now super jump rezzing doesn't require guardian angel as much. All in all as a console player mercy feels a lot better to play in ow 1 than in ow 2 . Now she feels ways harder to use and in a bad way. I find myself focusing on my flying instead of looking for flankers or knowing when to amp or heal. She just feels worse to play in ow 2. I like the new horizontal movement but I hate the new guardian angel and the new super jump.

  18. Honestly, if they rolled out with this iteration I would be very happy. It actually seems well-thought and opens up many possibilities for doing thing without relying too much on your allies positioning, and much faster then the original SJ. That said, they need to increase the charge rate of the new meter, and also increase the momentum a little bit because it still feels a clunky, especially when the target is closer, it is quite sluggish. They could also change the collision while GA is active. I got myself getting stuck on ledges, turns and doorframes quite a lot because it always activate on an arc rather than a straight line. It wouldn't change the fact that her heal still feel bad, but it is a step in the right direction.

  19. I do think mercy does indeed talk a little too much. It becomes obnoxious. Can they nerf her talking please? I have to be honest but I do think the VA did a meh job delivering these lines. It just sounds like she's shouting. Meanwhile, her voicelines sound calm and graceful. Like her going from "Heroes Never Die" to her constant chatter "I'M HERE TO SUPPORT" "LET ME FIX YOU UP." Her other voicelines don't sound like this and it just sounds awkward and inconsistent.

  20. I was playing this on console and using her GA change is so hard. I play mercy on max sensitivity, still my camera doesn't move fast enough for me to to what I need to to GA effectively or even well

  21. I still need to play with this a bit more but even after watching this video I still don’t like it. I think they should add a setting to be able to turn it off like ‘prefer facing target’.

It just feels clunky even though it’s helpful in some situations, that’s the problem, SOME situations.

Also since the SJ changes I’ve been really struggling with slingshotting in OW2, it feels like it just stops you dead in your tracks way too early.
