  1. At Cottonwood Cove there is a Canyon Runner who proudly states that he has Blackfoot in him which was the tribe that formed the Legion.

So having him in mind as well as Antony who still talks fondly of the Hangdogs, is interesting because it shows how despite Caesar's efforts to completely rid the Legion of their past tribal identities, they still remember them well

  2. I like to think the New Canaanites would have very often traded and served in the legion due their connection via J. Graham. making them incredible assets due to their Missionary work and firearms heritage. While New Canaan was wiped out by the White Legs, J. Graham mentions there were survivors. This also doesn't account for the Mormons already within the ranks of the Legion. I can imagine Caesar would give them an ultimatum too cast off their identity to avoid persecutions. If so, its likely many of these Mormons would have been among the Original and highest ranking members of the legion. After 15 years of conquest, The 1st Battle of Hoover Dam, and the purge those that survived would have been the most most loyal or lucky. Me and a Buddy of mine like to imagine a Christian cult within Legion ranks similar to the Roman Empire.

  3. I distinctly remember a moment in a New Vegas Playthrough where I actually got to fear the legion. I'd downloaded some immersion mods and was sitting at the poseidon energy gas station near el dorado dry lake. It was night and I was with Boone and ED-E and decided to roleplay a little bit where my character sat at the campfire there where a prospector spawns(?) and while I was just letting my character relax and eat, a Legion Assassin party arrived but they didn't start fighting. The decanus guy announced the battle, telling me to prepare. Scared the shit out of me but it was a totally plausible thing that could have happened in-universe to an enemy of the legion. Just sitting at a campfire when these red-clad veteran warriors emerge from the shadows, having every opportunity to just shoot me in the back of the head but waiting for me to stand up and grab my gun.

Just a stream of consciousness comment, anyway. Another Arizona Classic Neo ♥

  4. I'll never forget the first time I played New Vegas. I was on hardcore very hard difficulty and got killed by the powder gangers outside of Jean Skydiving. I made it my mission to kill every powder ganger I found, but bit off more than I could chew when I got to the NCRCF and decided to follow the main quest until I was a higher level. Then I arrived in Nipton and saw them lashed to crosses, I was so confused and I remember saying to myself "that's what you deserve" then I saw Vulpes and the legionaries and I knew immediately that they were going to be my favorite faction. Brutal and unapologetic in their actions, I love it.
