  1. With Tears of the Kingdom on the horizon, I figured it would be appropriate to take a moment to appreciate the origins and history of the first 3d Zelda game, The Ocarina of Time.

    Errors:
Mixed up bytes/bits, oot was 32mb, not 256

  2. People shit on the water temple, but I'll tell you a little secret: Beat it all in one sitting, and it isn't as bad. That's the big reason why people get confused by it. Because when you come back to it, it's really hard to remember exactly what you've unlocked and where you were at due to the water level constantly rising and falling. It's so much easier to keep track of when you haven't forgotten what you did last.

  3. The relationship between Saria and Link is so sad. She was his one friend, his one peer within the forest, and as children you feel the warmth between them so strongly. But when he returns as an adult, you can feel the two drifting worlds apart from each other. A childhood as short as Link has was certainly brief, but to a Kokori? It must have been a flash, over so soon. Were it that he was Kokori, or she was Hylian, they might have spent their entire lives together.

  4. When I was like 5 I loved this game so much I hid it so my brother wouldn't play. I couldn't remember where I hid it and spent the whole day looking for it. I remembered right before bed and when I found it I was so happy haha the nostalgia with this game is crazy

  5. Man you’re good. I don’t think I’ve ever had a video essay on a decade’s old video game cause me to tear up, but this one did. Please keep making great nostalgic content <3

  6. Mad Season you for sure got my like when you mentioned that Water Temple, and then proceed blasting Carl Orff's masterpiece O Fortuna. That Temple did not stop me when I was a 10 year old boy. But it sure hell, took a bloody long time to finish. The Spirit Temple with the Mirror Shield was the best in my opinion. Where you swap between the adult and child version of Link.

  7. I know it’s a lot to ask but I think it would be an awesome topic, have you thought of doing a Pandora’s box video on Halo? Just a recommendation but it would be awesome!

  8. I am blessed to have been 12 years old when this game came out. Old enough to go at it hard but young enough to get swept up in the magic of it. I feel sorry for everyone that misses out on that experience.

  9. It wasn't enough with the OoT nostalgia you also had to hit us with sen to chihiro no kamikakushi ost, I'm actually tearing up and it's 2 minutes into the video (':

  10. We could have gotten a good zelda game, instead we got breath of the wild DLC. We'll never get the old zelda formula ever again and zoomers are to blame for it.

  11. I played a link to the last every winter when it first snows. I remember when I was 10 playing in 1999, it was a snowstorm and I wasn’t sure if I had school the next day or not. So I played LTTP all night while the blizzard raged, and woke up to 4ft of snow. My cousin and I played in the snow and then came in and beat the dark world. One of my favorite memories ever. Your videos are a little taste of that, and it takes a special touch to induce such feelings. Thank you!
