Ven. Anne de Guigné
Born : 25th April, 1911
Died : 14th January, 1922
– Anne was intelligent, perfectly frank, courageous and when she wasn’t being troublesome, she could be very loving.
– Anne was haughty, vain difficult to handle and her first 4 years were the worst. This behavior radically changed with her conversion and with it a saintly, little girl emerged.
– Her father’s death was the beginning of Anne’s conversion. She entered into a life of complete obedience to her mother (which was a huge sacrifice for her). All day long, Anne was thoughtful, trying to make the younger siblings behave.
– Received Holy Communion at age 5. Her First Communion resolution was: “I will give my sacrifices to Mary, so that She may give them to Jesus.” She wrote- “My Jesus, I love You and to please You, I resolve to obey You always.”
– Known for her charity and willingness to suffer for sinners.
– Suffered from meningitis during her last days.
– Many miracles have been attributed to her name.
