The Nova Terra Interregnum and the Moirae Schism are mysterious events that fill up the 35th Millenium of the Warhammer 40k timeline. But, with no actual novels or stories SET in the time period, how can we piece together what happened?

The pronunciations of "wibbly wobbly" here would make The Doctor proud.
This is high-octane, fully leaded, corn-fed Gothic literature. I loved every minute of it.
Always been ironic the most likely faction to destroy humanity is humanity itself.
I would love to see a vid on the age of apostasy from you!
Stories like these, and how they grow over time, is why I love 40k so much. And also the reason why I have mixed feelings about sweeping, detailed novel series like the Horus Heresy, because they tend to overexplain periods that lie far in the mysterious past, robbing them of much of their mystery.
Thank you Ian, another great video.
I always assumed that Moirae was taken from Moirai, the three ancient Greek Fates (because of the whole divination thing) but I like your explanation a lot better!
The fallen were also Dark Angels in black armour, loyal to the Emperor and Terra, not to the Lion and Caliban.
You are just too good, were did you learn to write like this?
"thanks" – some black library author (probably)
The reference to the English civil wars at the end is really interesting. When we covered that in college we had it described as the wars of the three kingdoms, because there was also a civil war in Scotland and Ireland at the time over different but related issues.
Really enjoyed you relating this to history a bit. Very interesting addition.
Another great video… Thanks…
The Ur-Council of Nova Terra is winking and elbowing you hard in the chest, going "Wink wink nudge nudge, say no more".
Though Umberto Eco's probably like "Didn't think my essay would be a good basis for creative writing and playing pretend with toy soldiers, but hey, why not."
'Moirae' is pretty obviously pronounced 'PRY-mah-RISS-LEF-teh-nunt'
Great job as always, Ian 🙂
You are hands down the best 40k lore YouTuber because you actually reference the sources rather than reading the wiki or making stuff up
Me, after promising not to discuss politics at family gatherings.
Any chance we could get a list of all the book references for those who like to follow the bread crumbs?
>biblioarchaeology
You mean… history? That’s most of what historians do.
I like it wasn't the Alpha Legion at all. Nope, not them.
A true data archeologist, a scribe at the rank of magos
I really enjoy the way you do these deep dives. Can't wait for the Rangdan Xenocides and how the storm wardens were holding vigil for a lost legion by The Lion. (I think they're probably named after a lost legion too)
Comment for the comment god!
40k is not sci-fi
I always thought that the Empire civil war in fantasy was a nod towards the thirty years war in the Holy Roman Empire 1618-1648.
As always. The best Lore channel hands down. Well done sir!
One of the most accomplished lore videos I've ever seen. So pleasant and informative and informed.
They mention that the second emperor in The Outcast Dead.
can you do a video on Ghazghkull?
Miller Way
Hey, I love your vids. I was wondering if you could do a vid on the sisters of silence? I love them and would be ecstatic if you covered them!
Thanks for the analysis! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
