During the strange summer of 2020, Jon did something he’d never done before. Ever. He gave up control…which as many of you know, he is pathologically averse to doing!
And what he gave up control of was an entire livestream setlist.
Anyone who knows us well will be aware, we don’t often grant requests at concerts – not least for the fact that if we haven’t rehearsed the song…it’s fairly likely to go horribly wrong! 😂
BUT – in July 2020, Jon, quite remarkably, gave up control of an entire evening of music to YOU – in the Ninebarrow Hit Parade of 2020. We collected over 5000 votes and then, live, counted down the top 15 songs as voted for by you!
Since then, we’ve produced two more albums: our 2021 release ‘A Pocket Full of Acorn’ and our latest record: ‘The Colour of Night’, which is being released on the 1st September. We thought now was time to hand over the reins to you once again.
So vote for YOUR favourite Ninebarrow tracks – from albums past and present – and on Saturday 18th November, in our final online concert of the year, we’ll be broadcasting a fully live online concert counting down the top 15 songs as voted for by YOU!
NB: This livestream has been scheduled instead of out originally planned ‘Wandering Minstrels Concert’. Sadly, illness, combined with some dreadful weather during our filming window in August meant we’ve had to postpone our Wandering Minstrels Concert until a future date. We’ll keep you posted on this!
