this is so weird to say withou making it sound tish like but the womb worm likely "is born" via the traditional method a normal baby is.
as efficency wise its easeir to exit a prexisting hole then dig threw meat but i do think your right that it would encourage the host mother to desire a "water birth" in order to begin the cycle again.
so its not as lethal or damaging as IRL parasites physically speaking but mentally its freaking horrifying beyond words.

Tbh I feel like it'd make the most sense for the womb worm to just induce labor somehow and come out of the vagina instead of bursting out chest burster style. It wouldn't make much sense for it to waste energy making a new hole when there's an already existing one. Maybe when it's full grown and the human or other animal enters or drinks water it somehow senses that and comes out, slithering immediately towards the closest water source. Or it somehow mind controls its host to seek water.
Also this is the worst, most nightmare inducing thing on this list. It's even worse than the apocalyptic flesh planet. If I lived in that world I'd never drink water, only juice and soda.

I wanted to say that I have only just found your channel, but I already love the work you do and the way you cover things.
