  3. The Giants owed DJ for all the nonsense he's had to put up with. This kid has had to put the team on his shoulders since he became the starter. Constantly under pressure and no real weapons, and he still got the team into the playoffs and won a game. He's light years better than all the failed QBs mentioned in this video, as well as Dak Bortles.

  8. Why would they pick up the 5th year option when he didn't perform well before they got there they didn't draft him an had 0 ties to him. People keep sayin ohhh the Giants didn't pick up his option so they had no faith in him, the NFL is a business so why would they invest money into a product that didn't meet expectations??? It's easy to sit in your parents basement or behind a desk full of people that have a combined 0 front office NFL experience. People gonna hang on DJ's sack as long as he's in the NFL an it's quite sad. All the people sayin the Giants gonna regret this decision are the same people he made look foolish the year before by sayin he wasn't a starting caliber NFL QB. He made yall look dumb as hell now you wanna try an take money out his bank account cause he made you look dumb??? Just goes to show why these people know exactly nothin about what they flapping they gums about. They obviously know nothin about how NFL contracts work. Sayin they could get a QB in the draft is WAAAAAAY more dumb then complaining about his contract. Did you see what it took for the Panthers to jump from 9 to 1??? What would it cost to go from 25 to the top 4?????? Do these clowns even think about what they are sayin before they say it or does the dumb stuff fall out without noticing???

  10. As a giants fan I don’t love the contract but I do think it is much better then Mike is putting out there. It’s not really 40 million a year it’s back loaded where the last year is 46 million. This year it is only 9.5 next year it is 35.5 and in 2025 when we have guys like Dexter Lawrence and Andrew Thomas that need to be resigned it is only 30 million

  13. Obviously they kept DJ last year with -5 million salary cap. On the real the DJ contract is great. Only 2 year guaranteed. They only owe DJ 19.5 million in the first year giving the Giants the cap space to draft or sign a WR. Also able to save no exclusive tag for Barkley. Great deal all around. Don’t forget cap is going up.

  19. I'm gonna be that guy and say you have a Cowboy fans POV lol Jones made a huge jump this year. Drastically cut back on turnovers, Improved his already amazing rushing ability, and had a good enough record in a competitive division to get them to a playoff game…and win. Not to mention he did that with average wide receivers at best. Everyone is focusing on the previous years with incompetent coaching and management. Those years are kind of irrelevant now. Jones and The Giants deserve this contract. It's a win, win.
