New World JUST LAUNCHED and European Servers have been filled with the first wave of excited new players!
However, those looking to reserve their username in New World MUST ACT FAST !

I wanted to wake up straight away and reserve the name “Merlin”
After all, it’s the whole channel brand…
But, 2 minutes before the hour mark the servers were already online AND THE NAME WAS TAKEN !!
Luckily, MerlinTheWizard was still available, so I managed to secure that!
Afterwards, using my 2nd character slot, I did everything I could to reserve “Merlin” or a name as close to that as I could…

Name reservation works as follows : Create any character and give them your desired name. If it’s available, create them. After creating the character your name will be locked to your account , even for a short time AFTER deleting them.
This means
1. Create a randomized character – don’t customize.
2. Find an available name
3. Create ; as soon as you hit the queue or tutorial you can back out to the menu. You character is created and you have the name,
4. Whenever you want to make your REAL character, with the right server picked and customized appearance, you can delete the original and create the new one.
Good luck getting your names, they’ll get locked in fast so you better be faster, or have something very unique that wont get taken
