Think of how slick Fire Emblem Engage is going to look on the OLED!

Honestly they still need another 2 – 3 sports to be added to Nintendo Switch Sports for me to get it so its crazy that golf is delayed
Goddamn it Zion, I lost it at the end the with Bullet for my Valentine!
25:25 Reason for the MarioStricker's server decline is that 4vs4 online is still missing.
They are doing 8-player mode for golf Switch Sports, so Nintendo really doesn't give a damn about Strickers.
I actually think people may be saying the title wrong and it might be tears as in torn apart. Tears of the Kingdom could potentially refer to whatever is causing the floating islands and the land of Hyrule being both physically and metaphorically torn apart by whatever incarnation of Gannon is awakened in the cutscenes we have seen.
I think alex doesn’t understand winter last all the way until march
Of course I’m so excited for more Zelda information but also super excited for octopath 2!
Regarding Switch Sports and the golf courses… Doesn't the switch have a very different architecture from the Wii? They probably did have to remake each and every course for the Switch Sports game, as well as figure out how to properly pull off having… What was it, 4 or 8..? Players playing on the same first at the same time.
So it's more effort then you're giving it credit for.
They said winter which includes early next year …Fire emblem, octopath etc are winter releases. Unless January isn’t winter in your country lol
y'all need to hush, i owned a Wii and every Nintendo since the beginning!!! so YES I'M OLD!!!!! you don't have to remind me!!! LOL
I wonder which of those past heroes is the Fire Emblem.
Early 2023 is still considered winter Alex.
KIRBY KIRBY KIRBY
Looking forward to Kirby, Zelda, Pikmin, Fire Emblem, Tales, Octopath, and Master Detective Archives. Not big on farming/ management sim games, but that appeared to be the overall theme for this Direct. More cloud gaming on Switch doesn't sound at all promising nor appealing.
Lol doesn’t like Jack Black poor guy
Pokemon Stadium doesn't have rentals Is a huge shame, you would think they would put the gameboy games In the gameboy tower and have them playable and transferable that way
but It Is what It Is and It's a very important game and deserves to be remembered, young ones will love gym leader castle and because It's pokemon you don't need the best connection for battles so invite 4 people online and build a team with rentals
the mini games, I Just can't wait
Goldeneye doesn't even feel real.. how Is this being released?!
0/10 not enough farming simulators
There were things I was really hoping to see in the Direct – the rumored Metroid Prime remaster and Wind Waker HD port – but what we did get, I was not disappointed whatsoever. Fire Emblem Engage looks pretty neat (I worried it was another Warriors game for a second). Details on the next Splatfest for Splatoon 3 is cool, as is confirmation of content updates. While I don't play it much, the update for Strikers Battle League is cool; muh boy, Diddy! Tunic and Sifu were surprises that made me glad I hadn't bought them on other platforms yet. Octopath Traveler II looks delightful. Both Final Fantasy Theatrhythm games were so much fun on the 3DS, so I'm glad we're getting an enhanced "best of" sort of version. Pikmin 4? OMG, IT LIVES! I'm happy to hear some details on the Golf mode for Nintendo Switch Sports. The Kirby remaster is neat since I never played the original release. And of course, the coop de gras, Tears of the Kingdom! Hell of a way to close it out.
Honestly, this Direct was mostly killer and not much filler. Far better than many as of late.
Enjoyed direct. I feel that when we get to look back on Switch in few years it is going to be console with potentially one of best catalogues ever. So manage great games. We still have more in Metroid and potentially even Mario to come over next 2 years. So much amazing content. As far as direct Goldeneye was my highlight alongside happiness of Pikmin because I’ve been waiting for so long!! Looking forward to playing Fire Emblem December and Zelda next year can’t come soon enough. Good times!!
I can Imagine fans of turn based RPG’s and farming life-sims had a blast with this Direct but for me personally this Direct really was a let down. I think Nintendo is going into a really specific direction which there is nothing wrong with in general because there is a huge market for what they’re doing now, but as a life long Nintendo fan I think I’m getting at the point where I may leave them behind. I’ll keep the Nintendo consoles (the console after the Switch) in my household for the big first party exclusives but it’s not gonna be my main console anymore
the zion rhythm game was famous for introducing the emo Switch Mic you scream into
Absolutely share in Felix’s love for octopath. My fav square game, I’ve already preordered the special edition. Also listen to the soundtrack pretty regularly, definitely my fav ost too
I loved octopath travler! BUT I HAVE TWO PROBLEMS I HOPE THEY FIXED!
1: Make getting SP much easier. Grinding SP for Multiple characters is like 20 or more hours. SO SPEND THAT SP WISELY!
2: Truly let the game have more freedom with choices in it. The entire advertising for octopath was about the players freedom of choice.
Make your own party out of the characters you like. But wait a minute, A boss in the game was so hard to beat, he could only be beaten with certain characters in your party and with those characters having certain classes. HOW IS THAT TRUE FREEDOM OF CHOICE? If it was true freedom of choice, any party you put together would be able to beat him…..
But that's apparently not the case!
I have played the Theatrhythm arcade! I found it at a rad arcade place down near Miami, FL. I forget the name offhand. They had a lot of great games plus a lot of imports.
It was fun but hard, and it was in Japanese so I didn't know what I was doing in the menus. I didn't do great, but I think if I played longer I'd get the hang of it. It was kinda expensive tho so I only gave it a couple times. I wish I had taken a picture. Loved the 3DS one so much I'm going to have to invest again even if I don't play as much this time around.
Great direct, I'm looking forward to a number of titles. Plus usually more stuff goes on sale in the eShop 🙂
The shock Zion, Felix, and I shared when Alex said focusing on Jack Black would be a bad thing… That was intense
Zion at the end with Bullet for my Valentine, damn
Awful direct. And it sucks because the Nintendo fans boy are blind too to it. Nintendo can do no wrong in there eyes.
I’m a Nintendo fan boy, but after these last 3 years Im starting to see all the BS they do.
Only thing I can think of is they’re getting ready to drop a switch pro next spiring so they’re holding off for that
The idea that TOTK is darker than MM is a mistranslation I believe. They said that it'll be like MM as a sequel.
I initially thought the direct was terrible. But then I realized, if you just took out all the farming simulators, it would’ve been pretty decent. Sometimes shorter is better.
They said "Winter" and I don't recall it being 2022, but just Winter, which runs into 2023 all the way till March.
You know a direct is bad when even a Zelda reveal couldn’t save it
A Direct with a lot of chore-like videogames.
the Jack Black slander was uncalled for
there was nine holes in the original Wii sports there was nine more holes and Wii sports resort and then there was nine new holes in Nintendo sports club on Wii U so there should have been 27 holes
HAL just likes making spinoffs so theres tons of kirby lol
Still no Silksong 🥲
Symphonia Remastered was heavily panned for downgrading the framerate from the GameCube version. Since Tales of has action battles it needs the 60fps. Worse, the game logic is tied to the framerate in the remaster, so they aren't fixing it for this second remaster, it will be downgraded from GameCube even on the PS4 version.
Bro I'm getting about $100 version of theater rhythm. Because I absolutely adore Square osts music. And although I don't have them anymore I use to have the soundtracks for final fantasy 4 final fantasy 66 final fantasy 9 final fantasy 10 Kafka's domain Chrono cross Secret of Mana Kingdom Hearts. And I just could not be more excited. The only downer for me is pretty insignificant but I do wish Kingdom Hearts soundtracks were on there. But again a $100 for like 505 songs plus online play co op play In the industry where so many companies will go out of their way to screw their customers that's a good deal. Octopath traveler 2 was definitely the game of the show for me. But I'm excited about I would say at least 80% of the games shown.
Also as far as gold editions go I'm happy to pay for a gold edition if I get the season pass with it. It's usually worse it. Because again going back to the BS going on in the industry all too often. I will point you towards a $90 collector's edition of Arkham nights doesn't even include a digital soundtrack a digital soundtrack a digital art book a season pass. I mean it's fine if you like Batman that much but to me it's not worth it.
I have Rune Factory I don't know which one it is but I have one of the last ones they did I just don't have the new one. But I'm pretty excited about Rune factory 3 special because I love the idea of everyone around you getting older and you can have kids and your kids get older. It's just such a cool concept that we don't see explored in enough games beyond usually It being narrative driven. I mean yes we get the traditional daylight cycles but how many games can you think of where characters actually get older through the progress of time? Yeah this one is definitely on my list hopefully it'll come out around my birthday in March. Which seeing how Rune Factory 5, I believe came out on my birthday March 22nd i would not be surprised if it comes out in March also. Not to mention March is just an insane month for games. It's crazy because I remember a time period where games the majority of the games came out in the fall now it's year round but March is still a really big month for game.
Edit: My bad I was completely thinking of story of seasons not Rune Factory. That will have a gameplay mechanic where characters get older through the passage of time.
I've played the Final Fantasy Theatrhythm at the RoundOne in Portland, ME. It is very difficult to understand because it is not localized to English whatsoever, drowning in Japanese text, and has more menus and options than any arcade game should. It's perhaps the most arcane arcade cabinet I've ever interacted with. I loved it on the 3DS though, and looking forward to it on Switch.
Only thing I remember about fist of the north star is people heads exploding.
It's not JUST another Kirby game! It's one of the best Kirby games ever, and easily the best party game on the SNES other than Mario Kart. Countless hours of my childhood were spent trying to out duel my friends in the samurai minigame.
Wii you like to play 🙏🏽 extends Wii Remote
winter is from december 22nd to march 22nd, most games announced were in that time
Excuse me, specifically in pokemon blue and red Charizard stomps Blastoise due to it being faster and how broken firespin is lol
Zion, that bullet for my valentine reference was sick. Great song! Loved this video guys. So many things to be excited for
Golden Sun is my Octopath Traveller (although I was a lot younger)
I'm assuming that Engage is using a summoning system for gacha/waifu bait. I'm expecting a ton of DLC.
A direct with lots to farm
well, what spikechunsoft game isnt bizarre?
