Bro as a broncos fan we messed up when we didn’t draft josh Allen, instead getting Bradley Chubb. Who since his rookie season didn’t do squat for us and has been traded to the dolphins. When John elway was gm he had an obvious archetype he was seeking at qb. He wanted a tall qb with a cannon arm with some mobility. Like he was back in his prime. Josh Allen landed perfectly in that archetype and our laps in the 2018 draft. But after already missing the mark at qb with guys with those very attributes (Brock osweiler, Paxton lynch) he decided not to get Allen during the 2018 draft 🙁 man should have kept following his gut at qb.
As a disappointed Raiders fan most of this year, it's afforded me opportunity to change the channel more often then not with usually McDaniels being my source of high blood pressure. It's been calming finding joy in the misery of other teams (Packers, Bucs) and joy in the turnaround and fortunate with others (49ers, Dolphins). For the first time all season I hung tough and swallowed the pill that is Vegas's brand of football. Our season in the shitter this was the equivalent to a moral victory but nice to see Raiders get the W. As a fan of football in general it was hard to see the Broncos expression at games end knowing how close if not for a few late defensive lapses they would have won. Denver D is a beast usually and still is, but they cant maintain this pace all season without some semblance of offensive help that never seems enough or comes too late. Im surprised Hackett still has the gig. I understand the reasoning for Gordon's release but can't help but believe Hackett is next.
