  1. Just to answer Ed's problems, arent glitches, the spiky trait does 1/3 of the damage done o the monster, the 1/3 of 1 is rounded down to 0. And about the why wasnt buffing its DQ's ai, thet if doesnt need to do it, wont do it, the focus is more like a suggestion to the ai.

  2. in 80% cases, you can trust the monster's judgement. However, you can set instructions to disable or make certain moves more used than others in order to make their AI more efficient. however, sometimes they use moves just because they can like if the enemy is low HP enough, to be killed by it anyways, there a good reason why they do this tho, they know snappy comeback exist and you don't want a ton of overkill dmg to happen cause it'll bite you back.

As far as buff stacking goes, team based buffs are less effective, but can stack up by doing them more than once. Single target buff are much more effective if you need one person to do the work and need them ready fast. this makes single target debuffs a better choice, ironically, in term of boss fights.

  3. I just want to say thank you for the videos on DQM. I can't get enough of this game right now and every day I look forward to a new part or one of your other helpfull videos on it. So thanks for helping me to get through the day!

Also: if you do offscreen Synthesis would you mind showing the synthesis tree in the Monster status for a second so that we can see how to make it in case it's a special synthesis?

  4. I ran through the monsterpedia and I noticed a recurring pattern in some of the monster's weaknesses that I thought would be useful (some exceptions apply)
Slimes – Weak to Earth (Crag spells) and MP Absorbtion
Dragons – Weak to Water (Splash spells) and being poisoned
Beasts – Weak to Ice (Crack spells)
Nature – Weak to Explosion Damage (Bang spells)
Material – Weak to Wind (Woosh spells)
Demons – Weak to Lightning (Zap spells)
Undead – Weak to Fire (Frizz spells)

This is a generalization and some monsters in their family resist these general resists, but I hope this helps!
