  1. The whole thing with the Krieg squads is just so stupid, you have to swap out a lasguner for every other upgrade in the book and then you can also do that for a special weapon or equipment option but in Krieg what you get to choose to learn how a radio works or how to cook with plasma. It seems really dumb and I don't like it at all especially with the limit of commandants to 2 it's pretty annoying because I'd take a junior officer if it was an option and take that plasma gun option.

    It just seems like GW staff ride the short bus to work we better send them some padded helmets we don't want them tripping and falling on their soft dough like brains.

  2. Ive been taking 5 squads of cadian and 3 infantry squads. The 5 Cadians going with my plasma tank and sentinels on the front line. The 3 regular infantry holding the backline with lascannons.

  3. I figured the special weapons changes were coming since the box only comes with 1 each. Now it matches the other changes they've made.

    Poor Catachans, though.
    My take on fixing Catachans –
    Extra attack (Scions better in combat than Catachans is funny but seems mean)
    Give the catachan knife a profile (AP -1?)
    Sarge had a different looking knife so give it a different profile as well (+1 attack, AP -1?)
    Forward deploy
    Something allowing use of flamers in close combat. Datasheet ability seems fine but if OP maybe a strat

  4. Is waha going to update to reflect this? I really hope not. Why do i need 3 special weapons when there are only 2 good ones (when no army would do this)? Why did they nerf flamers? Why do they keep favoring cadia (the one faction that doesnt even have a homeworld anymore?) Gw is a bunch of goobers…wtf?

  5. yay happy i need to find other ways now to shift all my guard flamers about. x2 of the same special weapon in a 10 man squad just felt nice. guess i have to run them as catachans now

Honestly, my fix for Catachan was just putting a little "up to two models this unit can replace their lasguns with either a flamer or a meltagun" make them a bit unique, keep the burning away of the jungle still a thing. I just think it's neat. Although the forward deploy or better combat abilities would be a boon as well

  7. Solid Copy on the Gatekeeper/Banner combo. I've been thinking about adding some cadians, maybe a few mechanized squads to peel out and dig in on an objective?

    I hate giving up the leadership bubble that now belongs to Born Soldiers, but I still lean on Brutal Strength to keep my heavy weapons mobile.

  8. I feel pretty disappointed regarding the lady creed nerf. It’s sad to think nobody will be fielding her now because of this. It’s a nice model and it felt great to use. Having said that, I can understand them wanting to ban the stacking of 3 order buffs on a single unit to get S6 lasguns. That wasn’t right man, and i refused to do that out of principle. Was hoping the nerf would be to that exploit rather than how most people were using her.

  9. my catachan sergeant still cant take a close combat weapon… at least let us give the infantry squad the catachan keyword to get around the "kit dont 'ave dat" issue…

  10. What about take aim and first rank second rank? Both are good for Kasrkin. Especially if the second unit is going to do the bomb. My guess is that GW will not mess with the bomb until 10th edition which is heavily rumored to be 4 months away. Then everything changes. I bet almost all if not most strats are just removed.
