The NEW FREE Gran Turismo… Probably isn't for you

This is My First Gran Turismo. No, that’s actually the name of the game. A free way to play Gran Turismo 7 with a throwback feel to older titles. Is it worth your time… kinda? But hey, I’ll never complain about a free PS5 Racing Game!

  1. They should bring this to PC and put in some adverts about how the full GT7 game is on PS5 & PS5 Pro only, I think it would be a good way to show PC users what GT7 could offer them.

  2. everything at this game feels like it’s aimed at 2 groups. 1, fan service for fans of the older games, with its basic thematics and 2, kids. And I don’t mean it in a bad way, part of the original gran turismo’s success was the fact it was a game that adults and kids could play alike together, bringing the grown up world of cars to a children’s Living room, while still being realistic enough for dad to have his fun. As GT evolved it got more and more intimidating when weight up next to the Forza horizons and crew motorfests of the world, especially with GT sport, and GT7 is a large open game. This feels like the perfect way to get younger kids into a gran turismo in a fun, simple way, and by extension get them into cars in a fun simple way.

  3. I have 3000+ hours in gt7, but I put 20 hours into this little demo. 😂

  4. I just wish people would be honest about this game, rather than fan boys saying it's a sim, when it's anything but.
Like I said, I don't hate on PS, I don't hate on this…. but I hate on the liars.
Look, gaming is EXPENSIVE, sim racing is expensive.
I've been sim racing for years! Since PCars on the PS4 and now on PC.
Now if someone wants to get in too sim racing, buys an entry level wheel at around £230… with a decent level of FFB, then buys a PS5, then GT….. plays it and thinks "Oh I'm pretty good".
Then they go and play AC, ACC or other PC titles, they will get their butt's kicked, because GT is an Arcade Sim Light!
Any racing game, where the fastest lap times are people that cut corners, slide across grass, power slide…. THAT ISN'T SIM RACING.
Racing is about finding the racing line, slow in, fast out…. hitting the apex, getting the track too flow.
You watch the fastest laps in GT and the replays, the cars are sliding and grass cutting every corner.
You do that in ACC, Race Room, iRacing etc, you'll end up best friends with a wall.

That's why CERTAIN well known channels on here, that make out they're sim racers, but only ever do well in GT, yet when they play iRacing or ACC, they're mediocre at best…. that's because GT is more arcade and teaches you bad habits.

There is NOTHING wrong with GT, it is great fun, but you Ponies and some of you creators, PLEASE stop calling it a sim because its unfair on those wanting too get in to sim racing, and if they start with this, it'll teach more bad habits than good.

  5. Kids now have their own Gran Turismo (cars for kids) so they don't destroy the adults progression. I played it yesterday got all platinum times.. and to me this is a very nice free GT commercial demo with no less then 18 cars. Great to have on your less drivespace bedroom Playstation to drive a few timetrials.⏱👍🏻
