The New Diamond Delay, Tremolo, Compressor, Drive and Bass Compressor Boost

Greg Djerrahian from SolidGoldFX has relaunched Diamond Pedals. We were thrilled when we learned this and when we received the new pedals from him! On today’s live, Josh is going to talk about why he wanted to relaunch this classic line.

  1. No one gonna mention the Video adjustment? White balance is warmer… Love it…Colors a Poppin! Always had killer video but man.. whatever change was made everything looks stellar.

  2. I hope the build quality remains the same. One of the few builders using polypropylene capacitors. Now everyone goes for cheap ceramic smd.

  3. I looovveee Diamond so much. I was super bummed out when they announced they were closing. I couldn’t see why. It does cost a lot more building in Canada but still. Anyways I’m super stoked they are back! I might be a little biased, being Canadian and all 😉

  4. I am very happy to see Diamond back on the market. I understand the need for change to some designs due to parts issues. I have in regular use the original big box Memory Lane, Halo, J Drive and both the original Comp and the Jr Comp. I am looking forward to a release of the Vibrato and hope it has not changed in tone from the original. I’ve not ever felt that the original Diamond comp had an obvious snap. As it was optical it sounded much more like an LA-2A than a snappy comp. good on Greg and his team for bringing the brand back

  5. Glad to see the line brought back, but I kinda liked that they were sort of under the radar and not the typical choice. I still have my original Drive pedal with the lead boost. It's kind of scratchy right now, needs cleaning. I'm not using it (in favor of an old 2 knob Hotcake with my Vox amps). But I'll clean up the pots and use it again. Sounded great through my Tweed Deluxe style amp. Of the current line I am most interested in that Tremolo pedal if I can use it to retire my Tremodillo that alters my tone, and is battery only with stripped out screws making the battery change a real pain. I just bought a Lehle parallel SW to use with the Tremodillo to combat the tone and volume change. It's not wired up yet, tempting to just use the Dimamond and put the Tremodillo in the archive. That would solve the inconvenience and free up precious pedal board real estate.

Would love to try the Memory Lane as well. I literally just bought a Carbon Copy and it's OK, but I have a Memory Man 550 TT that I do like a lot. I know I would prefer the Memory Lane over the Carbon Copy, too bad this announcement didn't come last week, lol

  6. Love my memory lane jr.. I had no plans to get rid of it ever, but now I want to swap it for this new smaller footprint version, it sounds just as good with really cool added features..

Congrats to SolidGoldFX (great company) for bringing back Diamond's legacy! Two of the best Canadian pedal companies right there.

Speaking of which.. not the first time I mention this, but I'd love to see a Fairfield Circuitry feature on this channel 👀

  7. Diamond pedals have always been so cool to me. I've never owned one though. They look very simple but look great, and sound great. Not sure why I've never had one

  8. I thought diamond went out of business? I don't live far from where they are made and heard last year the closed shop. I have an early compressor made by them. Hasn't left my board in well over 10 years

  9. It’s cool to see these back! I love my diamond compressor. Maybe I should have sold it back when Diamond ceased production. I could have made some money and then gotten one of these 😂 I couldn’t risk losing it though I love that pedal!
