  1. Sims 4 has had a lot of controversies. Its release was super poor and then the 20th anniversary award was a hot tub that was later DLC'd. Gamers who are loyal to a company/game go through a lot and companies just copy and paste.

  2. Actually Hoyoverse is very good at listening to player feedback and do make qol changes from time to time. Most of the issues players had in Genshin ended up being improved upon in HSR. Some improvements with their newest game even made it into Genshin like auto-collecting the resource farm. Genshin is actually the least predatory gacha I've seen. You wouldn't even know it was a gacha if it wasn't for the tutorial showing how to make your first pull. Most of the game is played without looking at the shop.

  3. "I know the Genshin community had issues with this video in particular…" Yeah cuz it's poorly done and does a ton of half-truths, you probably should've researched it a bit more and you would've seen another video by SteamedBunX, titled: "The most disgusting take on Genshin Community | The Toxic World Of Genshin Impact" It debunks the video quite a lot, but ofc it's not as popular as the negative video cuz it's easier to shit on Genshin, even with fake information.

  4. about the anniversary, i just want to add That "100 primogems" was only one of the many web events and community events they always have. They gave in game rewards(1600 primogems) as login and then added double that(1600 gems, a pet and a glider) for damage control

Of course not saying they were doing the right thing or something but it just didn't rub me the right way the little credit it was given, of course it's still a stupidly low rewards but still

Also, those things always happen before the update comes out, the sumeru controversy was mostly based on leaks (the video touched the subject really slightly, basically the cultural appropriation and the "whitewashing" and "lack of representation" that i too don't understand at all, it's just so stupid to feel that entitled)

  5. I like that Nux understands that there are both dark and light sides of Genshin community. I've been playing this game since the beginning now and I didn't even know about all this drama lol

  6. have you ever tried to get sweats, achievers, socializers, and explorers to agree on what a great gaming experience is supposed to be?

and we wonder why the Genshin Impact community self-owns itself so much?

  7. And this vid doesn't even talk about the damned near daily death threats and garbage fan-artists and actual artists for the franchise face from the community when they make art that dare to not support or validate their precious shipping or supposed representation because a male character has long kimono-like sleeves and therefore is gay as stated by someone who was OBVIOUSLY an expert on kimonos.

If you took out the screwdriver lodged in the Demon Core and fucked the hole you'd be exposed to less radiation and toxicity than being in the Genshin Community.

  8. Might be worth pointing out a bigger point here isnt if its a genshin specific problem or not; but the fact Hoyoverse SEEM to not try doing anything to prevent these issues from happening on repeat, always being late if they even do adress it. As shown with the KFC/Pizza Hut issue, they got clear examples what not to do, and they did it regardless.

I can understand what was meant from the video of "biggest PR disaster", as that was an issue between the public, and the company, not an issue spanning the entire company itself, which is what Blizzard issue was. Blizzards issue was way bigger, and was not specifically only a PR issue, so thats why it might not have been counted for this, if one is talking about specifics.

  9. Genshin players are perfectly okay with objectifiying women, anti consumer practices, but when the voice actor doesnt match a fictional, not real, completley made up region, that's when they get mad? Lol, roaches.

  10. When the fanbase is so massive everything gets bigger and controvercies stick out like my 5'5" ass in the NBA match. Scale baby.
I've only heard about these controvercies and can't provide more info but at the same time the video itself didn't provide more than my "approximate knowledge of many things".
Dunno, just rubbed me the wrong way, digenuous one might say?

  11. I don't love Genshin's marketing style or even the gameplay loop, but as someone who has worked with a few different comapanies/sponsors like this, especially overseas, basically all of these are common practice

  12. Regarding the KFC part, there overestimate the craze of Genshin at the time when they announce it.
Cuz when they did with other collabs now with Domino, some locals tea brands in the region, the reception was no longer that crazy.

It still attract and some items are sold out. But the craze has died off.

EDIT after watching till Pizzahut : Nevermind, I think this is a China thing lmao SE Asia people just chillin tbh.
MORE EDIT after watching till Klee cutout : GOD DAMN, PH peeps aiyo while u like this. LMAO
EDIT : 22:48 You are not allowed to use the term waifu cuz its derogatory? I swear another sponsorship Youtuber used husband and waifu term with no issue. Felt like you got a "feminist" account/project manager for your sponsorship lmao

  13. About the VA situation in Genshin Impact reminds me of the harassment that VAs of the Last of US pt2 got because they didn't like what the characters did in the game but it wasn't the VA's fault they were only doing their job and the same thing applies to the Chinese VA. Damn that object deleting bug in insane it reminds me of the glitches that can be done on retro games like OG Gameboy Pokemon games when you try to search for a certain corrupt pokemon and it corrupts your game breaking it forever. And In Donkey Kong Country 2 when you do a certain glitch in one of the castle stages where it would corrupt the game and breaking it forever.
