The Movie Incels Love Most

Drive (2011) directed by Nicolas Winding Refn is the absolute pinnacle of Male Manipulator Movies/”Sigma Cinema”, similar to other films of its kind like American Psycho, Scott Pilgirm v the World, The Wolf of Wall Street, Joker, and Taxi Driver. Ryan Gosling’s performance in the movie had even the most well adjusted people saying “he’s literally me”. While this is a good movie though, I believe that the “film bro” communities of reddit and letterboxd are responsible for a lot of the film’s praise and popularity. Is Ryan (driver) a real human being? That’s up to you. Shoutout to kavinsky – night call what a goated song. This has got to be one of the best ryan gosling movies. ryan gosling’s drive is a good movie. man do i love drive (2011) directed by nicolas winding refn starring ryan gosling.

  1. That doesn't make any sense because i thought incels didnt like women? Driver actually cares about the girl. Now American Psycho I can understand but its also hilarious they paint Jason Bateman as a sigma male when the entire movie shows that he's still a loser at the company he works for and outside the company he's a nobody and constantly pretending he's a big shot to others

  2. How is this movie going to be for incels? The driver literally treats the woman and her son well throughout the entire plot. You could have name American Psycho, Scarface, The Wolf of Wall Street or Fight Club

  3. Yes the pacing is slow but given the good things that innpart come from it… Id rather have a slownpaced movie where you have excessive time to contemplate than risk losing subtlety

  4. Dude, the pacing of the movie Drive is consistent with what the movie was intended to be: a throwback to 1980s neo-noir. Go back and check out the 80s films that Drive is emulating, like Thief, To Live and Die in L.A., Blow Out, Body Double, Blade Runner, Manhunter, and Blue Velvet. They all have similar pacing and imagery.

  5. i loved Hotline Miami, so i watched Drive… and tbh… it kind of sucked. he did ONE getaway drive. after that, its just him trying to be a good step dad/boyfriend? like cmon people…

  6. I didnt know that much about the surrounding culture of this movie, just watched it one day and really fricking loved it hahahah. It just really tickles my brain. It wasn't the deepest thing I'd watched or anything, but man, idk, I just love it so much. Didn't find the pacing slow or anything either.

Also if you're reading this, whoever you are, please check out the Pusher films if you haven't already 🙏 they're by the same director and really freaking good. On the third one, heard it's a tiny bit of a step down but still really good 😛

  7. This has gotta be one of THE WORST MOVIES I'VE SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!!!! the guy does all this sh*t just for a f*** kiss in the end??? hahaha, unbelievable. Gets everyone killed, throws his life away, throws away the money, gets stabbed and then goes who knows where. It's a total mindf*ck honestly. It took me 13 yrs to watch this, and I was better off not having watched it. What a total garbage. The only good thing is the soundtrack. It kinda has a Stranger Things vibe, but without the spookiness.

  8. drives one of my favorite movies but the kids a psychopath and that elevator scene with the doors closing, how amped he was…shit wasn't new for him. its like travis bickle = the kid its just spun jn some mysterious bad boy trope instead of deranged mf.
