  1. I hope they make a pirate games based on east indies/ southeast asia. that region is basically a PVP region with clashes of cultures around that area. supposedly we're gonna get skulls & bones but it seems like ubisoft already axed the project

  2. Incredibly enough this was actually the first pirate game I had ever played. I sank countless hours into this long ago despite not knowing it was a "mod" or at least used the mount and blade engine. Better yet, I played, from what I think one of the earliest versions of this game. The storyline bugged midway through and I just kept playing free-roam. The line battles still are phenomenal in this game. And I developed my own "exploits". One being that is literally becoming a pirate, in a sense that you only attack convoy ships and warring all countries that carry a lot of cargo which you can sell for a lot of denars sometimes almost guaranteeing 500% profit. I love this game. Though now I would say that it has not aged well. It definitely was one of the reasons that kickstarted my love for the era and cartography.

  3. Looks neat but definitely not aging well. Not a huge fan of mount and blade combat though I still loved the game. (Chivalry 2 combat is excellent, and I hope other games adopt it (though the devs are quite bad at polishing their game)). I've been wanting a multiplayer pirate game for ages that's actually good ever since playing Sid Meier's Pirates about 50x back to back. Looks like there still won't be one for quite awhile, since Ubisoft's Skull and Bones is crashing and burning.

  4. Yeah this mod definetly reminds me Sea Dogs (Корсары in russian). What a cool game, I spent many hours in that game back in the days. Unfortunately it had some annoying bugs.

  5. Really enjoy this game, but the devs are jerks, I probably should have pirated it (no pun intended) but I still enjoy it despite the game being broken. Naval warfare is decent, the boarding works as a regular battle, I haven't tried sieges and I probably won't because walking on land is broken too. But I bought the game for one reason, I wanted sid meyers pirates with a little extra and that's this game, it's not as fun maybe as sid meyers pirates (except sword combat is better with the mount and blade engine) but it has it's appeal, more people should talk about this weird broken mess and it's even wierder DLC, which is literally just pure madness.

Might check out this guys playthrough honestly as it's identical in gameplay to this day.
