I mean, I think that the Mechanic fixating on Nya being useless without her powers is not out of character for him.
I saw it as like "I never needed any powers but you are usuless without yours!"
An "I am so much better" thing
Don't forget, this guy was one of Captain Soto's pirates, which means he may or may not have had a hand in helping defeat Nadakhan the first time around.
Who loves the mechanic's character
No ounce of malice my ass, you hate the overlord
Mechanic is an irrelevant side villain in my opinion who's only goal is to get neg diffed by any ninjas
Love your vids bro
gonna be honest I love the mechanic ever since season 12
He’s awesome and I love the mechanic!
He’s such a compelling character and he is such a deep character with his regret of his arm. And he is just so fun and charismatic.
I absolutely love the use of Syndrome in this video at 5:14
That character is super underrated. I really want the writers to give us a Mechanic backstory. It doesn't have to be in the series. Maybe they can reveal it in a book. We know that he used to work for Master Chen. There is also a rumor that he used to work for Captain Soto. But how did he get his prosthetic?
Yeah he’s underrated beceaus he don’t deserve to be appreciated I mean he’s just some wierd guy with a flame thrower arm there just no logic of the ninja not beat him zane for sure the guy got freeze power but a simple guy with a robot arm that can be freezed nah too easy he has nothing to make of him a principal villain
I think it made perfect sense to pair up Nya and the Mechanic in the Crystalized villain-hero rivalries, since both of them were powerless but could still do cool things, but then they had to go and decide that actually Nya was completely worthless without water powers lol and ruin that really cool dynamic they could've had
claiming the mechanic is betterthan nadakhan is criminal
Let's not forget that the Mechanic started off life as a pirate in Soto's crew!
The Mechanic is not only on of the best villains, but also my favorite villain in Ninjago. Was gonna make a video on this, but you hit all the points on the head with this video. Thank you for doing my job for me!
Now, I like the mechanic objectively. He’s a good villain if the writers just want a villain not too serious. But other than that he’s kind of mid ngl…
To me the mechanic was decent villian. Definitely very underrated
You better thank the FSM that you didn't put the mechanic above Morro, or all those existentially depressed teens would have crucified you.
I'm neutral on the mechanic, I don't love nor hate him but I do agree that him just being a normal human with a prosthetic arm makes him unique
I love your breakdown in the mechanic’s character, might’ve made me appreciate his character a bit more but unfortunate his peak of his character is in the second worst season of all time so it’s hard to to give a full perspective on his character. Although I never thought he was bad to begin with
If The Mechanic make upgrades his arm with long robotic arm and arm sword and arm laser
He has no comparison to Fugidove, though.
This vid is just full of facts. Good job, Crusty 👍
Bro! I personally love the Mechanic just as much as you do! He is such a cunning yet fun villain on screen that I was so happy when I saw him line up with the primary villains in Crystalized! Though I wish there was more of him and done well in the other half of the season, but still. His presence in the show is the reason why I'm creating a fanfiction about him on Wattpad! A story about him and Ultra Violet's relationship and crimes in Ninjago City! He is my favorite villain, besides the Time Twins, and I am excited to see more of him in later seasons!
Is this a repost?
I've been getting alot of questions as to if this video is a repost of the June 2022 Mechanic analysis video – it isn't. This video is best viewed as a revisit of that video, updated with the Mechanic stuff that dropped since that video's release. It is a completely ground up different video though, and you can find a link to that video in this pinned comment if you'd like to compare the two for yourself: https://youtu.be/ytlXq4xB2nk?si=V43DiK3LDvN1vZ7W
better than nadakkan? Are you sure? using words as weapons is way better than the mechanic
Overlordddddd
8:00 i think i finally understand what writers intentions were there. When the mechanic says that nya is nothing without her powers is to show that he hates people with natural power because they are just born with it and not have worked for it like the mechanic himself. Its not that he is shitting on people without power, its him shitting on people that are nothing without their power. But crystallised still failed at disproving him, because nya didnt have her powers for 5 seasons and she was still probably the best member of the team
