  1. Nice video! I'm always glad to see this game get more attention. I hate to be the "um akshually" nerd, but I wanted to clarify a few points. The "dynamic diffuculty" of the game exists simply because the spawn list only advances when enemies are killed, so the faster you kill, the faster they spawn, and the crazier things get. The order and number of enemies is identical every run, but as your skill improves and you speed up, it can feel like a completely different game. The spawn time of power ups correlates to your high score, not the centipede. This caps out around 350 if I remember correctly.

  2. Renn, I’ve missed your videos so much since I ran out of older uploads to binge! Love that you’re still putting in such huge effort, and this game seems perfect for your coverage honestly. Keep up the amazing work! ❤

  3. I have played DEVIL DAGGERS long before HYPER DEMON released and where DD is hard and I have followed the world record for years now HD is that game multiplied by 200 and a vat of LSD on top of it. It's like taking every psychedelic drug in existence and closing yourself in a sensory deprivation chamber for a week.

  4. Kind of reminds me of N2O from way back on the PS1. That game focused more on the music than the raw sound design, but it was extremely stimulating when I was a kid to just barrel down those tunnels killing bugs to a thumping soundtrack while these psychedelic elements blended into the experience. We need more niche designs where the focus is on engaging gameplay loops and brushed down styles. That red hologram of enemies is a pretty great idea. This seems cool as hell.
