I do not know why Earthlings should be afraid about being watched. We have done everything that could possibly be done to send an open invite to any and all aliens. We enticed them to visit with the recorded sounds of Earth's inhabitants. NASA sent an engraved written invitation and provided easy to understand directions to our address. In 1977 we sent Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 into space with the sole task of notifying our neighbors that we are here and to drop by for a visit. NASA thought of everything. Our likeness is clearly shown like a billboard advertisement on the side of the spacecraft for the new neighbors to see assuming they have eyes.
My only hope is that they don't think it to be a menu.
