"If the Luftwaffe would have had the Browning 50 caliber, the Battle of Britain would have turned out much differently". – Herman Goering. Every machine gun in the United States Military from WW1 all through the Korean War were all Browning designs. I would say that is pretty successful.
As a machine gunner myself the 150rnd barrel replacement is bs you can fire up to 400rnds no problem the MG3 works best once it's hot there's really no point changing the barrel at 150rnds. yes that's what we were taught but there's no point in that
Germans in 1942 making a weapon that would remain as the basis for german machineguns 80 years in the future and would still be considered a really good gun, yet won't make gearboxes that were not fragile.
Sometimes, the best stuff comes from someone who hasn't done it before. They get a new and fresh perspective which increases the ability to create something new and inventive.

It’s the best mg in cod
It’s more likely the M2 Browning.
The MG42/MG3 is a great light machine gun but as a heavy machine gun I would prefer a M2 every time

Why did you have to include Frankfurt as one of the first cities to get nuked? Now I'm scared haha.
I think you could make a stronger case for the maxim gun instead
Canada doesn't really use them.
Ma Deuce anyone?
imagine if they could use a .50 cal….

9:34 WHAT GLOVES?!
ASBESTOS GLOVES
Gloves made out of a material
that causes DNA damage and cancer??!!
Excuse me WW1 calling, I have Mr. Browing on line M2!
When I was in the Navy I LOVED the German ships equipped with these. I would take this over our M240 Bravo ANYDAY.
I am very disappointed. Where is the usual American downplay of any German technology as "over-engineered"?
Thanks. Great historical information and film shorts, a very impressive gun for sure.
Change barrel after 150 shot !!! ohh !!! I had shot 2100 rounds in one go, the barrel was not red, but white ;)'

mount it on a steadicam harness convert it to a pulse rifle turning it into the M56 Smartgun and you'd be ready for the bugs on LV426. 😉
That’s German engineering for u…..
