A pilot in pajamas, a cocksure government, and an ill-timed headline. Pearl Harbor was an impossible target…until it wasn’t.

I’m surprised Biden hasn’t tapped into that to make money off that oil too…. SMH
That ship could be removed it's whether or not the government is willing to pay
How about the governments clean up their own messes before preaching to the world about carbon foot prints?
The best part was dropping two bombs on Japan.
I've Always have Why Were all the Battleships In Pearl Harbor ? Contained there INSTEAD OF BEING SOME SHIPS WEREN'T AT OTHER PORTS ! ALONG THE PACIFIC COAST ! GOV SET UP A DISASTER BY WITH BATTLESHIPS IN ONE PORT !!
It wasn’t a coincidence that none of the carriers were there, think about it, America was against war. How do you change their minds? Get them angry
Very sad day in history 😢 may they all RIP
Boy you blew off the fact the president knew it was coming. He wanted it to happen so we would be brought into the war. 3 guesses on who told him to let it happen.
Even if the attack would have been a total success, 🇯🇵 had no chance to win the Pacific war
Cheers from San Diego California

Battleships "None of them could be salvaged" (8:17). Incorrect. Oklahoma was righted, but sank while in tow to the west coast. Arizona is still in Pearl Harbor. Tennessee, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Nevada and California were all repaired and modernized. On the night of October 25, 1944, Battleships Tennessee, California, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania took part in the Battle of Surigao Strait. It is listed as "the last battleship duel." Japanese battleships Fuso and Yamashiro, along with a heavy cruiser, were sunk in this duel as the tipping point was radar (the Americans had it, the Japanese didn't). This battle was part of the larger "Battle of Leyte Gulf" that saw the Japanese lose three battleships, four aircraft carriers, two heavy cruisers, four light cruisers and seven destroyers. The Americans lost two aircraft carriers and three destroyers.
Pearl Harbor is intentionally allowed to be attacked by Japan to get involve the US at the WWII.
After each World War the UK empire is becoming weaker and weaker only the US is stronger and stronger…
Yet "somehow" the military was completely unprepared…
Really…?
All 3 of their newest carriers and battle groups were safely dispersed in the Pacific, the last one a mere 36 hours before the attack. The only ships left at dock were slated for decommission. Seems pretty prepared to me.
Political incompetence lead to what happened just like 911 and the Vietnam war listening to your military leaders is tricky but important politicians like to hear yes not no and that's always been the problem.
May everyone lost that day Rest In Peace.
I’m prone to believe FDR knew about the attack. Was that why he failed to address the American people?
Is it true America was moving ships from Pearl to the Atlantic?
Figures. The Navy doesn't care about Hawaii and the ecosystem. Right now the Red Hill fuel storage tanks have leaked gallons of jet fuel into Honolulu's water well and there's still jet fuel that's unaccounted for. Oh, and the Navy thinks it should only take about 2 years to defuel the tanks and clean up their screw up.
