ESPN released it Top 100 College Football players for the 2024-25 season, and the results are shocking. Is Cam Ward better than Shedeur Sanders? Is Cam Skattebo better than Abdul Carter? A wild list, but do you agree with ESPN?

Who won the NFL coaching derby? Did the Chicago Bears get their guy with Ben Johnson? Did the New York Jets win with Aaron Glenn, and no GM? Are the Saints, Raiders, and Cowboys all losers no matter who they hire? Did the Dallas Cowboys lose as soon as they did not hire Colorado coach Deion Sanders?

  1. Yes college football is in trouble, I stopped watching pro football in 2001. I stopped watching pre game broadcast for college 5 years ago. I’ve curtailed watching SEC games on Saturdays beyond Alabama for the last 2 years and this year, I only watched 3 Alabama games and the michigan game wasn’t one of them. College football is full of pimps and I don’t need it.

I probably won’t watch anything in 2025. College football is dead. On a positive note, It’s gives me more time on Saturday. It’s amazing what you can get done when you’re not worried about the game.

  2. If they cant finish up the season by Christmas, let alone New Years something is wrong. After Christmas, I’ve moved on. Nobody cares. Play 10 games like they did in 2020. Cutout the games against the creme puffs, play conference championships on thanksgiving weekend then Vote for mythical No. 1. We can argue with the podcasters leading up to Christmas and new years.

  3. 14:54 you have got to be kidding! This is the problem with the NBA and MLB!! Now we have idiot sticks saying that politics is not only going on, but also that certain players haven't earned the right to neutral officials!!!!!! Ridiculous. my opinion of you just dropped about 50%.

  4. I am taking a break from the game for a couple of years. My alma mater is in a conference now that doesn't even have 8 foorball teams, the Pac 7. Our rivalries are done. I can't afford to see away games now that they are all a thousand miles away.

I have ESPN+, so I couldn't watch the playoffs or the championship game from home. DisneyESPN didn't even run the national championship on ABC, at 4pm on a Monday. Instead, it was a Judge Judy ripoff. I mean, really? EA ruined the college football video game, even.

NCAA football is now the cybertruck of sports. It's about appearance, and ultimately revenue, instead of making a quality product that people want and trust.

  5. yeah its dying… we told you so. you wanted the money and dumb tv deals, dumb playoffs and all that stuff. instead of having regional conferences, having fun at bowl games and rivalries, braggign rights and just enjoy kids playing sports while earning a degree(and nil is good to let those kids market themself and earn additional money), you wanted that espn and dumb corpo capitalist circus. now its dying but muh we told you so

  6. Okay… I believe that I came up with a good real life example of why college football may never reach the ratings of the NFL. My example here is a national chain restaurant such as McDonald’s (with those Pokémon cards) being the NFL and a beloved local restaurant such as Skyline Chili being college football. The NFL, to me, feels very corporate and designed to appeal to the masses, as college football is very tied to the fan base and traditions passes down by family and attending the school. College football has a higher cost of entry because you need to be tapped into the team and following the storylines that are much local stories. The NFL is full of stars that need no introduction and thus when you turn on a game, you know what you’re getting. As a college football fan, the ratings do t mean much to me, but we all know money rules the world. There you have. The difference between college football and the NFL.

  7. Monty the other reason low showing for CFP maybe that some of us had trouble wanting to pay ESPN to be able to watch the CFP games. I had friends of mine in Ohio not wanting to pay for ESPN. Maybe we are cheap, but retired.

  8. This new college playoff system has also devalued The Game of Ohio State vs Michigan.. There is now a chance UM-OSU play the last game of the year and in the Big 10 championship the next week. Likely both teams could make the playoffs and play a third time in one year!!!. This will really hurt ratings. Ohio could have done that against Oregon this year if someone did not play to lose the rival game.IMHO
