Yep in the UK we all say big light. š¤£
We have lots of words that some outside the UK might find strange, for example in the US you call the small circular bread buns, but in the UK depending on which part of the UK theyāre called, cobs, rolls, breadcake, barmcake, bap, stotty, batch etc.
Itās chippy chips if you want chips from the chippy (fish & chip shop).
And when you greet somebody in the UK and ask them how they are, 99% of the time you will get, āIām okay, could be worse.ā
My dad had Parkinsonās disease. He was diagnosed with cancer somewhere in his chest, he was starting lose his memory, & struggled to walk. Every time I asked him how he was he said Iām okay, could be worse.
Even when a British person is slowly dying or have an ongoing disease or ailment, you can guarantee them saying, it could be worse.

Can't even count the amount of times I was just hanging out at home reading and having a snack and my parents would come back and say "why is the big light on?" It was something for special occasions, apparently.

I love the tension that Alo being on any show adds. The man has a strict bedtime and I respect that. Also Jamieās comment about Dan holding back is hilarious, we were all thinking it. Never thought Iād miss those epic Dan monologues. I guess the indica will do that to you sometimes š

The first I watched REC 1 back in 2008 or 2007? don't remember.. I was sensitive to certain types of movies and jump-scares, so the last part when they show the deformed woman / demonic entity ..whatever!! I had a tough time, I was scared af !!
Quarantine is great
Great show, but so tired of Lazlo. He's an attention seeker who has the knee-jerk reaction to disagree with people and interject with his opinion where it isn't needed or asked for. Anyway it was a great show regardless.
Love the REC and Quarantine films. Fun intro once again by Jamie. Great job by everyone on this episode.

As a longtime fan of the REC franchise, this was a great discussion! I was very pleasantly surprised to hear the third film get so much praise. I love it, but at least in my experience, most of my fellow REC fans here in the U.S. vocally hate it. Actually, I love the first three films almost equally, but the first one gets my top vote for the sheer sense of dread and panic. The fourth one disappointed me, but it has its moments.

Jamie kills it again !now I wanna see behind the scenes how he did that š this episode also confirmed that do not mess with Chris' bedtime ! I need to revisit the whole REC series for I saw every single one of them within a year after their release. I only remember hating the US remake, mostly because the actress, whom I couldn't stand in Dexter.
I'm so out of the loop I didn't know there was one "Rec" film, much less four.
Watched all four yesterday and today to prepare for the show. My ranking from worst to best (with rating):
4. [Rec] 2 (5/10)

2. [Rec] 4 (7/10)
1. [Rec] (8/10)
Thought all the movies were watchable. I see the average ratings online has the fourth one as the worst, but I thought it was great. The second one was a bit too over the top for me, while the third one was the silliest of the lot, but it had some good carnage. First one comfortably the best. There's no noincidence that the two movies with Manuela Velasco as the lead were my favorites. Damn it was she great here, and stunningly beautiful.
Looking forward to hear you guys' opinions now!
Good show. Binged all 4 movies on Saturday. Perfect way to spend a cold and snowy New Hampshire weekend. Third movie was my favorite, followed by first, second, and fourth.
