When you think of December, you normally wouldn’t expect to hear about tornadoes. However in 2021, December tornadoes were anything but scarce. This was an EF4 tornado that happened on December 10th 2021 near Caruthersville Missouri, and this is the same storm a few hours later, a different tornado decimating the entire town of Mayfield Kentucky, which eventually went on to break records. In this video, we’re going to look at the events that caused this to happen, and dive deeper into one of the most historic December tornado outbreaks, and one of the most historic tornadoes, in history.

  1. there is no way this beast wasnt an EF5. Also funny enough I just rewatched your tornado video yesterday and was like 'god I wish this guy would upload again.' amazing video.

  2. I was on my couch monitoring this storm for hours on my couch just watching how close this monster could have came to my city of Bowling Green. I went to bed after tracking it for many hours, went to sleep for like 5 minutes and got woke up by my NOAA radio stating a huge tornado was in the area. A few hours prior, I saw a strong cell at the Tennessee Kentucky border headed in the way of my city and warned my friends hours ahead. The tornado was really close to my home, missed it by 8 whopping minutes. That night changed so many lives, and it was sad that this happened in such a time when tornadoes aren't supposed to be very active, and killed so many right before Christmas. God bless all of those impacted.

  3. Baffled that it did not get an EF5 rating but at the same time not the takeaway from this. This thing was a beast, IMO it rivals some of the tornadoes from the 2011 outbreak in terms of consistency.

EDIT: For your next project you should focus on more "freak" outbreaks like Nashville/Cookeville 2020 or if not try Vilonia, Washington, OR maybe some forgotten tornadoes like Lawrenceburg, TN 1998, or that random Yellowstone EF4. Good video altogether.
EDIT 2: missed a word in the sentence.
