The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 1 "The Apostate" BREAKDOWN, EASTER EGGS & EVERYTHING YOU MISSED!

The Mandalorian Chapter 17 has dropped on Disney+ by Rick Famuyiwa, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. It was an amazing episode with Bo-Katan, Ezra Bridger reference with the Purrgil in hyperspace from Star Wars Rebels, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu. A lot of Clone Wars references, original trilogy easter eggs, Book Of Boba Fett connections and more!

  1. We're off to Mandalore! 😱 What did YOU think of today's episode? 👇 Tomorrow, we'll talk about The Bad Batch S2 Ep11! A lot of great stuff to break down and discuss! ❤

  2. It was a great starter to the season 3 Grogu was great I did laugh as well at Grogu just wanting to give a hug, it looks like it going to be a great season I’m excited, it was a great night I watched the next episode of bad batch and then the mandalorian, this is the way 🤣👍

  3. I loved how Grogu tucked himself under Din’s bullet shell strap to secure himself at the beginning of the fight with the pirates. That was so cute. He’s adjusting to his Mandalorian life with Din very well.

  5. As much as I want to like the show, parts of it felt cheesy. The characters seem a little over the top. Pirates? Some of the special effects are good, but some of it looks artificial because it is filmed in The Volume. Maybe I have been spoiled by how good Andor looks.

  6. Enjoyed the episode I think I would give it an 8. I liked the trip to Navarro and the Mandolarian initiation and the fight with the creature was amazing. Wasn't sure about the pirates but over all a solid 8

  7. I read through a lot of the comments and didn't see folks referencing Grogu using the force to spin the chair he was sitting in and Din stepping over to stop the chair. I'm not a huge softy, but Grogu moving to the forward seat and sitting on Din's lap was heart warming.

  8. This episode was complete filler. Disney has completely softened every edgy aspect that made Mando so cool. The writers did the same thing with Boba, only they did him dirtier. What idiot shoots a wired gauntlet shot at an animal that’s so much more strong. Those other Mandalorians is looking like real bad fighters in the heat of battle there. Disney’s made all Mandalorians looking like idiots ever since season 3 and bobba fett. Mando talks so much and jumps from scene to scene carrying nothing but literal story info only and no actual good character building. Literally has us watching this show to see the climax of a guy take a bath. Liam Neeson was right.. Disney deluded Star Wars

  9. It's a great episode to catch up on some old friends and see how things are going as well as introducing us to the plot threads in this particular season. It's a very strong start and I am looking forward to the rest.

  10. It was a great episode – I'd give it a solid 9/10, but I did feel that it rushed though some things rather quickly and could have benefited from a slightly longer runtime – but hey, I'm loving what we got nonetheless.

It was great to see Din's fatherly side coming out more naturally with Grogu, the pirate dogfight was simply AWESOME (I hope we get to see more of them), and that easter egg had me leaping out of my seat, swearing a lot and shouting 'EZRA'! I'm so giddily excited for the return of the Rebels characters in live action.

And Greef's riny robots? Tellytubbies. Haha!

  11. I'm still trying to figure out why Vain, when chasing Din, mentions the Din would pay for gunning down "4" of his brothers and the Capt.Shard tells Din something about losing "4" ships…In both cases five people and five ships were lost. WHAT? Why the confusion between 4 & 5?

  12. Thank you, Meg, for giving us your Apostate Exam. I loved the episode. Finally the return of the greatest Star Wars show! Th3 plot did seem a bit all over the place the first time I watched it, but it was better upon repeated viewings. I’m actually glad it featured Greef, Bo Katan AND the Arorer in the premier.

  13. 10/10. At first I was disappointed to see it was only 38 minutes long until I remembered how tight the episodes are and how much they pack into it and boy did they deliver!

  14. This episode was an absolute banger. I did find it corny how unprepared and unable to handle that see beast all those Mandalorians were. If Mando doesn’t show up, that whole group gets wiped out by an over sized gator 😂

  15. Overall great episode, great reference to Star Wars Rebels, great seeing Mando and Grogu back, a lot of great action on this episode. but Mandalorian armor is supposed to be passed from generation to generation, not created from the new generation. This was little confusing to me. Also, not thrilled about Sequel references.
