Paz had to close the doors to allow everyone to escape or they would have followed him. Grogu is traumatized by Gideon so he wasn't stepping in and Paz had to say to avoid the pursuit. He has to die, anything else is wishful thinking.
Bo: They fly now!?
Moff: Yes they are stormtrooperlorians… They fly now
I was disappointed Mando gave up the dark Saber, but I also noticed that it seems like the Mandalorians fallow Din, not Bo. No one volunteered to scout Mandalore till Din Djarin did.
bro ik im not trippin 😂😭 were they ROASTING the same baby dragons they caught?? lmaoo
just finished the episode 😢 why did bro have to die? i was honestly just starting to fuck with paz
first people get upset that people in star wars never seem to die but once someone dies they want them back makes no sense Paz death made sense to me he prevented the troopers from following the rest went out with a bang he sacrificed himself the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one
I really enjoyed this episode, surprised so many didn’t
If you’re “not happy” they are linking the the OG’s to the Sequels, buckle up because you’re not going to like anything for a couple years.
Din had major plot armor in this episode. Everyone else they just killed.
Bo is going to tame the mythosaur and use it to beat Gideon. Calling it😑
I always see theory talking about how "there is too much filler" or that "this should have happened sooner" but that isn't really how it works, the filler is basically just free extra episodes that they give us. Filler is the sprinkles on top of the cupcake. If this did actually happen on episode 5 like he says it should have, that would just mean that there would be less episodes of the Mandalorian and less time that we get to spend watching the show. When these shows are made the directors have a story of where they want the show to go and lets say they finish the main story line in 6 episodes and then they throw in 3 extra episodes of filler throughout to let us see the characters more and have more relaxed moments or to relieve some tension. Now yes there are other reasons why they want filler episodes because Disney wants more money, but in the long run your getting the exact same story no matter how many episodes are filler or not, but the more filler there is, the more you get to see of the characters and their universe. If they were to make all 8 episodes of this season non filler then every plot point would drag on for longer and less would happen each episode. More realistically if they were to do the season without filler, you would just end up getting a season with less episodes. If this episode really did happen on episode 5, the season would just end up ending on episode 6 instead of episode 8. There is a set amount of plot points and there wont be more or less if you add, or replace filler.
TLDR, Your getting the same story no matter how many filler episodes there are or aren't, think of the filler as sprinkles on top, extra free episodes where you get to see the characters more, and if you do you will enjoy watching shows way more than you currently do.
Spoilers
Paz dying was so unneeded and out of character for him, one, he could have just walked back and kept shooting (he didn't even have to keep shooting because he is wearing beskar and can and did take a ton of hits) got through the hole and then destroyed the door controls like we have seen in star wars many times and then the troopers would be limited to chasing them only through that one hole, where he could just keep shooting the hole and they wouldn't be able to chase. Also its out of character for him to sacrifice himself, I know that all Mandalorians are supposed to be brave and unyielding and all but he has already show that he is very selfish when it comes to his kid, he risks the lives of all the Mandalorians with him by jumping in the nest and yelling for his kid and almost gets them all killed. It's obvious he values his kid a lot and would definitely not sacrifice himself so easily at the drop of a hat.
Man I don't wanna be negative but if you were in charge of the situation when the doors shut and separated Mando, you'd have got all the Mandos fucking killed trying to cut a hole through that door with dozens of beskar troopers shooting the hole like fish in a barrel lol. Also why would Paz run when his goal was to kill as many as possible to give them time to escape? And cutting small gun holes still wouldn't work, the beskar troopers had infinite space to move around, they'd simply not stay in front of the door
paz shouldv went thru that hole mannnnn. hit em wit the 🫵🖕🕳️
Just because the sequel trilogy is bad doesn't mean every character involved with them is. I honestly loved seeing the Praetorian guard (honestly this version looked way cooler than what we saw in the sequels). I agree Paz didn't need to die, but dying in battle for them is the most honorable way to go, so I'm not that sad. I think he saw it as his moment for glory, saving his brethren. I also really liked Gideon's new getup, that looked sick as hell. Anyway that was a great episode, definitely could have skipped the past two episodes, but I honestly think that's just because we were supposed to get the book of boba stuff this season and they had to rush to fill stuff in.
that episode was really fun, paz dies because sacrifices are needed could of been written better, i actually liked the ig-12 stuff was funny not too ott
Mando is going full on with sequels. And im going fully away from any of it. Mando was the last little bit of decent starwars. Now that's gone. And so am I. F*CK DISNEY! KK is a franchise killer!!
Mando season 1 and 2 were their own nice story. S3 is not even needed. Absolute garbage.
You’ll come round to the sequels eventually.
The episode was okay. Idk why Star Wars fan rate a episode high, if it has cool action and Easter eggs and nothing to do with the story
I would guess Luke or Boba Fett would come help save the day, but with Asoka show next in line my guess is her coming to interogate Gideon about Thrawn.
Grogu wants mando to die clearly that's super cool FAILURE JON
Spoiler warning George Lucas comes in as a force ghost does some crazy Jedi shiznick and Luke Skywalker wakes up in a cold sweat …..
The recovered beskar armour shard from the Gideons shuttle will lead the alliance to Mandalore
Axe or Armourer theory which one is the spy? you keep switching between the two, gotta have a definitive answer
In terms of the episodes before this one this was a big leap forward…def like it…sux Paz died but hell if he didn't go out fighting like a true Mandolorian n if the Pretorian guards didn't show up he would of been good cuz he messed up all those imp troopers… hopefully they don't kill Mando off but if Dave's movie is gonna tie all these shows together I think if he was gonna die it would be in Dave's movie not in this season….Armorer is def a spy!!! Everyone hating on the episode are crazy
I agree The Praetorians are one of the cool things from the otherwise disastrous Sequel trilogy. Cool seeing them..
Hello there
Why did the surviving mandalorians not know that Empire was present at the forge?
Armorer is for sure a spy. even the name of their sect. "Children Of The Watch" Sounds like children of death watch to me.
Definitely the best season 3 episode so far. Pretty much felt like the first good episode that wasn't forced to be written a certain way. Definitely also confused as to why Bo Katan didn't use the saber earlier… Also wouldn't it have been good to use in the first scene when the Beskar imperials first flew in? I don't see how this season will end any differently than how the season began: many Mandalorians dead and scattered. Not sure how I feel about literally nothing changing through a whole season. Only way things could end differently is if Luke showed up or something? Also, was anyone else confused that the armorer of all people decided to take the injured Mandalorians to the fleet? Surely the one armorer in the group would want to see the Great Forge?
Side note: I think it's pretty obvious that season 3 was obviously changed by someone (Kathleen Kennedy probably). I bet Jon and Dave were planning to leave Grogu with Luke longer so episode 16 would actually mean something, but then the BoBF was made and Grogu was back with Mando for season 3. That's probably why Grogu hasn't been a main character this season. Their plans probably didn't include Grogu and they had to make some quick changes to account for him.
Theory just Casually hating on this episode at the end… okay
bro the CGI on Babu Frick is horrible, like wtf did they do, he just levitated over that table. I cant believe how they fvck so much up.
Armorer is not the traitor unless she is doing it for the good of her people.
She is too kind to Mando and Grogu to outright betray them! I think it’s a red herring.
You keep asking, "who is the spy?" But the title of the episode is literally, "The Spies" (plural). It's a Biblical reference to Moses sending out 12 spies to scope out the land or Canaan to see how they would possess it. In the show, 12 Mandalorians stood up to say, "I will go." However, episode tiles can have double meanings, and the thumbnail shows a picture of the Armorer. So, it's possible that she is one of the spies for Gideon. I hope she ends up being Rook Kast and turns to fight against Bo-Katan.
Literally the worst chat, makes it really hard to watch these reactions sometimes.
“They could’ve done this” or “they should’ve done this” or “why couldn’t they just do this?” BECAUSE ITS A TV SHOW and they have a story to tell! They needed to raise the stakes, every show does this. This kind of talk is soooo annoying. It’s like watching a movie with that one friend who just critiques the whole time and doesn’t have any understanding for the story.
Theory looked tired and bored during what was an epic piece of StarWars. So sad that he’s become a cynic and a critic rather than a fan.
Episode 7 was called The Spies…but I only saw one. Elia Kane.
The other spy is the Armorer.
She’s been acting kinda sus lately. Very convenient that she had to go back with some injured mandos.
She and Gideon also have the same spikes on their helmets. And I never got over how tepid the Armorer’s response was to Bo-Katan’s revelation of seeing the mythosaur.
Then after seemingly not being impressed by the news…decides that Bo-Katan should be the one to gather up all the remaining Mandos, where they’re eventually all rounded up into a trap…so sus imo.
Bunch of miserable weirdos in the comments.
The Armorer being a spy makes zero sense. There would be so many plot holes. If anything it’s Axe or the survivors.
Cutting a hole in the door creates a choke point. If they went through where Din was then the Imperials could just spray and pray at the hole and kill them all one by one as they go through. Same thing with the back one which is why they needed someone to cover them.
The horns armorer is loyal to maul dark sith assassin moth G to the empire there workin together i believe armorer tryin get rid of bo and them mandos
