  1. Thank you for the video. I saw this great man enter and exit a IMSA GT car at the Daytona Rolex Race in a way that impressed the he'll out of me. Such a good humble man and a warrior. His warrior mind set will pull him through, I am sure.

  2. The truck driver was cleared of any responsibility in the accident. He hadn't crossed into the opposing lane. Sadly, he has fought with his sense of guilt since then anyway. That's the other side of this tragic story. Unfortunately, it had been Alex who had lost control of his bike. I wish all the best to both of them!

  3. The 1999 Williams didn't suck,
Ralf Schumacher managed to get points in 11 races of 16 , including 4 podiums , finishing 6th in the championship with 35 points to zinardi 0 points.I, williams finished 5th in the championship out of 11 teams , not brilliant but the car wasn't the total worst.

  4. Zanardi is an amazing story and this was a great video. I do have a quibble with your characterization of IndyCar/CART though. Its history is much longer than you make it seem, starting with inaugural Indy 500 in 1911. The winning car of that race, Ray Harroun’s Marmon Wasp, is considered the “Lucy” of all single-seat open wheel racing cars to follow. While I won’t get into the various sanctioning bodies and splits, IndyCar, what is considered the first American open-wheel racing national championship series was held in 1905. Another, the first to include the Indy 500, was held in 1915 and what could truly be considered the “IndyCar series” has been held uninterrupted, except for World War II, since 1920, 30 years before the first Formula 1 championship. Also, until the CART/IRL split in 1996, IndyCar was more popular than NASCAR in the USA.

  5. His first season racing for Target was the first season I followed motorsports racing. Alex Zanardi made me a racing fan for life. Indy Cart was one of the best racing leagues ever created. I only watch Formula 1 these days but I’ll always remember the excitement of that Target car dominating the grid. 😊

  6. Back in the 90's, it's obvious Cart was less competitive than F1. Some F1 drivers, like Zanardi, but also Nigel Mansell and Jacques Villeneuve had a super time when racing in Cart. While when they were in F1, they had to compete biggger drivers, like Senna, Prost, Schumacher. Villeneuve did beat Schumacher, but only because Jacques car was dominant, and Michael's car was average, at best. If you see the Indycar drivers trying F1, like Michael Andretti, he didn't complete the season, to avoid more disgrace.

  7. His book is a must read, yes it's old now but it's still a great read and sheds a light on the shenanigans Alex, Chip, CART at the time got up to

I can't pick his best drive at all. They are all great though
