The Maldives were one of the last countries I haven’t visited yet. I thought I’d have the most boring trip ever. But it turned out the Maldives have lots of hidden surprises! Maldivians have a separate island to store the garbage and tell you they recycle it. They treat the citizens abroad and pay for their healthcare trips. They get married easily and get divorced even easier. They don’t teach Geography at school, because who needs Geography in paradise?

Never knew this was also a situation in Maldives, I guess they are pretty good at marketing. It is just India plus white beaches plus Islam minus density.
When is Pakistan coming? Some suggestions are Lahore and Peshawar. The trip would be incomplete if you don't travel through the trains, so make sure to book a train journey
Maybe the white beaches have turned white from the microplastics. A group of small islands with no waste management system, so this is very much likely 😂
I read an article about the garbage island in the Maldives a number of years ago.The government there does stuff all about the pollution and the tourists there just ignore the dire pollution .situation in the Maldives.Sorry,but I would not go there even if I was offered a free holiday there.Too much of a health hazard.

It is odd that tourism goes against their beliefs with tourists wearing bikinis and drinking alcohol. They are willing to go against their religion if it makes money for them. That is being hypocritical.
They have too much garbage. They should not be bringing people to their country as they can't cope with all the garbage. They are burning plastics and releasing toxic chemicals into the air and ocean. Tourists bath in these same waters.
Tourists should BOYCOTT the islands until they clean up their act. They need to stop polluting the oceans.

The Maldives is the most expensive place to vacation. $40 for a sim card. And over $200 for a dirty shabby room!!! What a rip off!! They just fleece the tourists to the max.

Too many people with all the apartment buildings coming up and they cannot cope with the people they have already. They have no place for garbage.
I wonder how they have enough drinking water and are able to treat sewerage??? With temperatures rising and they are pouring concrete everywhere selling off the little land they have.
