Someday if we ever get past this healthcare for profit fiasco i predict they will look back at cholesterol as the cause of cardio vascular disease like how we look at using blood letting for illness. Its compete archaic junk science. Sugar habitually at high levels combined with standard systolic blood pressure causes the damage largely then the cholesterol has to habitually repair the damage until the artery is plugged. I think grain/seed is the primary food driving the majority of it. There is something inflamatory about grain/seed beyond the high glycemic nature which is also in other processed food/garbage. No animal was ever meant to eat grain all you have to do is look at how fat cows get in feed lots on grain. Additionally our dogs when fed the 70% grain based commercial doggie fast food get the same issues humans face, oral health issues, diabetes, cancer, obesity. Humans were eating primary animals before we invented agriculture. We supplemented we roots, tubers, etc and i realize its different in different places around the world. The point is no other animals are contending with health issues from diet becsuse they all eat whole food diets. The only time ruminants eat grain is in combination with the whole plant in nature. Hence why deer are lean not full of ectopic fat. So it makes zero sense eating animal products, one of natures whole foods would cause disease via cholestetol. Lions, etc circulation is saturated with cholesterol and they are not dealing with plugged arteries. Speaking of arteries, arteries are the only vessels damaged not capillaries or veins. If cholestetol were the mechanism for disease one would think veins and capillaries would also get damaged. Nothing about the cholestetol hypothesis makes sense. Yet habitually high blood glucose does because we can see the damage done to diabetics from habitually high blood sugar. Lastly the human body only has roughly 2000 calories/600 grams of glucose/glycogen storage in muscles and liver. We burn fat as out primary fuel source during rest and day to day activity. Only during high intensity activiy do we burn mostly glucose. Once we have our glycogen stores full from a high glycemic diet the liver then has to convert the remaining glucose into fat/triglycerides gor fuel or storage. Why would our primary fuel source fat, be the cause of disease. It should be pretty obvious by now that when you pour pure fuel sugar and oil, into a system designed for whole food. The liver becomes overwhelmed and the excess fat starts getting put ectopically in the liver and other organs, muscles. Because diabetes and other metabolic disorders arent glucose storage issues they are fat storage issues. Ectopic fat damages the organs and leads to metabolic dysfunction and that is the viscious cycle of metabolic disease. The processed grain and seed were invented by man and there is nothing natural about it.
I don´t Know. Of course tackling CVD would increase life span. But I think that the understanding of what is causing a general reduction in production of several molecules in the body is cornestone. Like blood flow tends to lower due to some sort of general problem and this causes organs and glands to start receiving less blood in an asymetrical way. And this causes then to reduce the production of molecules. Probably this theory is wrong but focusing in supplementation alone, despite being an advancement, don´t tackle a possible root cause. Blood unifies the whole body, so a disease started by it also would affect the whole body. Like aging
Dropped my total cholesterol and LDL levels 80 points in 8 weeks . Each now both in range . Stopped eating egg yolks – hence I was eating 10eggs a day .
HDL 65 Triglycerides-45 stayed the same .
My APO-b was was also checked -119 🤔
I’ll now check if that also dropped down . Hopefully 🤞
With all due respect to this dude (which i like) this podcast was general info at best and useless at worst. Sorry, didn't do anything for me. Wasted my time, plus I DO NOT agree that we need to have 4 spread out intakes of protein per day. ONE nice BIG FAT 14OZ organic steak is good enough for me and good enough protein for this doctor also, trust me on this buddy even though I'm not a doc. People over 40 MUST limit their food intake to only 1-2 hours per day to mimic the way humans had lived for millions of years (if you are a communist and believe in Darwinism) or tens of thousands of years if you are NORMAL and believe in God. In other words the early humans where our DNA/GENES come from went on gather/hunt trips, brought the food home and shared a big meal (once in 24 hours) with the members of tribe/family. This way meant that food was scarce, and humans had to adjust and stay strong so they can go again in hunting trips and provide/find food. Eating (like a cow) 4 times a day what this doc is saying suggests to our body and brain that food is plentiful and there is no need to stay strong (produce those amazing hormones that keep us young and strong) as such our mission on this planet is complete and we must die at say 80-85. I can go a bit further and actually suggest that our evolution (btw, from book of Gennesis, not from the Darwinism scam) has been such that eating 3-4 times a day suggests that this person is already old (food is being supplied to them by other younger members of the family and given to them often as a sign of respect for elders) and as such this person (in this case this doc) should be made to die fast so he does not continue to be a burden to younger generations (by eating their food) that must multiply and carry on. there is much that can be written, but definitely this doc is 100% wrong when he suggests 4 serving of food/protein a day)
But let me get back to subject at hand, heart disease. The cure has been around for over 50 years. Dr. Paulding (twice noble price winner in chemistry medicine) had come up with the cure which basically is very high amounts of Vitamin C combined with very high amounts of Lysine (combined, not just alone). I.e. 4000 MG of Vitamin C and 3000 MG of Lysine 3-4 times per day, for a period of 3-6 months will reverse 100% of blocked arteries and cure other cardiovascular issues also. There are about 400,000 open hear surgeries in USA per year and NONE really need to happen if they were to do Dr. Paulding protocol. The protocol cost les then 30/Mo while an open heart surgery costs $200K. think about that, the 100's of billions saved, plus people lives saved and improved drastically (once you have heart surgery, you are never the same again). Yet, people still would not Do/go for Dr. Paulding's protocol. Humans are very interesting creatures to say the least.
BTW, I am at very high risk of heart disease, my mom passed at 59 because of a stroke, my dad had angina/blocked arteries, my Granma passed at 55 heart attack, my grandpa died same at 50, and I eat steak almost daily, cook with butter, use heavy wiping cream almost on everything (i.e. soups, yogurt, pasta, so delicious lol) YET my fear of having a heart issue is practically zero. About 10-12 year ago I started having a bit of chest tightening/pain when running and right away I knew I had angina. First thing I did I switched to cooking everything with Olive oil (organic from Costco btw, but now i do cook with organic butter also) and then went on a mission to find a natural cure and did a lot of research until i ran into Dr. Paulding's protocol and did it for about 12 months 4000mg of Vit c and 3000mg of lysine 3 times per day, and within about three months the chest pain went away and has never returned back.
As a side effect I also never get any colds and flu, plus never had Covid either (absolutely not vaccinated btw). So there you have, you either torture yourself into eating spinach and cabbage all your life or enjoy the best things life has to offer such as organic steak, organic heavy wiping cream, organic yogurt etc…and enjoy life to the fullest without the fear of getting cardiovascular disease. Btw, after about one year with the protocol I switched to a maintenance dose of 2000mg of Vit c and 2000 mg of Lysine daily. I up it to twice daily if there is a threat of any viruses, in flu season. Bingo! 57 never sick, never been to a doctor, and never on any medication (other than supplements). Barring accidents, and or war humans will easily live past 100 years old, but to reach that you need to practice IF also and do some other longevity supplements, plus do 10 minutes daily (very important to note that you MUST limit your daily exercise to ONLY 10 minutes, forget what this doctor or any other doctor tells you. There is a very good reason why 10 minutes only, but I'll cut it off since this post is getting a bit long lol) of very intense exercise, i.e. very heavy weightlifting push up pull ups and or sprinting (not jogging) the fastest you can for 200-300 yards. Yoga is also excellent way to keep muscles and joints in good shape. And, as little as possible sugary products, and avoid as much as possible legumes (no animal eats them in the wild, they are toxic to mammals).
God bless Dr Omole on Youtube, who is the herbal doctor for curing me of herpes virus, I was going through a lot of pain when he cured me, thank you Dr
I have an apob of 22 as a 23 year old vegan with 50/50 processed/whole food. Certainly 20-30 is easily manageable without pharmaceuticals if done early.

has anyone here tried dr Caldwell Esselstyn diet, he claims he can fix artery clogging etc, does it work?
to be honest the old fat story is a load of nonsense and old propaganda
Fabulous

Statin has 0.01 % real positive benefit on cardiovascular health overall. It is a scam.
Is it true though, do you see many muscle boys reaching an old age? I thought it was mostly the frail old ladies making it after their 70s
my ldl and apob always seem to track together, like exactly?
Carnivore diet WITHOUT exercise
is healthier than typical diet WITH exercise.

Outlive a must read – great information.

I would listen to Dr Erick Westman before Dr Attia. Dr Westman has over 20 years working with ketogenic diet and heart disease.
Peter, try adding low fat cottage cheese to your yogurt & granola mix
About 1.2 gram protein per pound or kilo?
God bless Dr Omole on Youtube, who is the herbal doctor for curing me of herpes virus, I was going through a lot of pain when he cured me, thank you Dr
Meanwhile the oldest lady in the world smoked cigarettes for almost 100 years.

Diet, diet, diet and exercise will lower blood pressure.
So Doctor you don’t think Keto Diet is good?
,went on Keto and my Triglycerides went low and HDL went higher! Eat a lot of saturated fats!
