Probably wise to make a game based on a module in the line and then see how AI react to the lifestyle. I find it hard to believe this can be built without major classism issues like Snowpiercer
Welcome to the prison of the future. I stopped counting the words and expressions directly linked to Freemasonry, Illuminati, and globalists.
"You will own nothing, and you will be happy." This is a perfect example of the stupidity and excessive ego of the billionaire class, who believe they know everything and think they have a duty to manage the poor.
Since when does being rich make someone morally superior with a higher ethical sense? This has never been the case. The wealthy are wealthy because they have taken advantage of others and the natural resources that belong to all of us.
If wealth becomes the criterion with the most influence on human evolution and affects the natural selection of our species, you can be certain that our species will disappear, and our extinction will be painful and extremely agonizing.
Look at what they are preparing for us without even asking us… Two major details have been forgotten in this project: who is this city for? And who wants to live in it? Is it for you? For them? Not for me.
I gladly leave my place to you.
Such a bad idea
I don't think we will live to see this the world is at its worst right now
PRISON
All these architects and designers know that it's going to be a historical disaster, they are showing fake optimism because it will earn them thier lifetime income. Everyone will speak shit with that kind of money. Poor Saudi people.
These Tech people and Architects managed to brain wash the people with money…..Lords of the Ring ….bla bla, Star Wars citys, wow, but its wow , ok, and it belongs as WOW, and dreams are dreams for a reason…dream big they say, ok, but dont be stupid and chaise a dream. The Line City, he he he, if the temperature on the first floor on the desert is 120 F then up on the last floor it will reach 300 F easy, even if its 500 m tall, putting something magical on PC's monitor screen is one thing and it needs to stay that way, what structural thing is going to support this? glass encased mirror wall 500 m high, yes these people do sweet talk, but I thing "they" have none or limited, connection with reality, I call it much simpler, full of shit. A this Arab prince, I know He wants to shine, cool, He wants to create a bold statement to put Arab lands back on the map, after all the DUBAI city did not make there in even 50%, but my dear prince…these dreamers are going to ruin You and after that is done , they going to laugh about it. And this is going to be the SAD part, let it be the architect "project" dream , and lets get real, we can build something great and functional and it needs to fit the "desert"..a 500m tall wall of glass mirrors is not "IT", sorry.TH
Please please please don’t do this. It’s the stupidest idea ever.
Just make a normal city with great infrastructure?
These psychopaths want to imprison us all, yet they'll be travelling all over the world doing whatever they want. These satanic elites need to be stopped because they want to destroy us all.
This will not work, we have many other neglected cities in the world and this is just the rich finding something to do with their time. Stop this project before it gets worse
The ISIS nation of Saudi "9/11" Arabia is building a new city. What could go wrong?
Is the murderer of Jamal Khashoggi now promising to NOT murder tourists? Will visitors to that city have their basic human rights respected or will the infamous "religious police" be attacking decent folks who make the mistake of spending their money in Saudi Arabia?
When I was in the US Navy, on the USS La Salle, we ported there many times. We got to know Americans and Brits who worked there in "American Compounds" and as a CTI I got to know many Saudis and non-Saudi Contract Workers. Human rights are violated often and horrifically all over that dystopian hellscape. Khashoggi proved that MBS has NOT made Saudi Arabia any better than the worst parts of ISIS. So! Why should anyone trust going to any part of Saudi Arabia – even if they manage to make a part of it pretty and pretend that it will be like Dubai (an actual good place to spend your money)?
What about earthquakes
Window cleaning companies are about to make a killing.
What makes me laugh is people online and basic commoner architects are laughing about this, when they don’t realise the reality that the engineers archecticts working on this, are light years ahead of them, quite literally, they sound like typcial YouTube so called “experts” they have no clue 😂 its like when people were laughing at Interstellar . Meanwhile they were consulting Stephen Hawkins and finally the black hole pics came out. There is average architect and engineering, then there is a whole other level that don’t operate within your limited understanding .
Nothing better then going for a drink while solving how Saudis will build their dream city.
Imagine the biggest architectures in this world working together in this project but you find a bunch of western muggles trying so hard to make this project look bad in every comment , but at the end after 10 years you will find their kids working hard to make money to just visit this place ….
To all these people raising questions and doubts here, or making suggestions (in a Discovery UK documentary in youtube, btw), although very valid: don't you think the thousands of people involved in this design have already asked themselves those questions? This is, wether we like it or believe in it or not, a huge social design experiment. Can't we just observe and learn from it as much as we can without feeling the need to impose our own individual fears or arrogant suggestions? Jeez, we've never been so connected nor had such advanced technology at our disposal like this moment in history, and yet we've transformed into self-entitled couch opinologists. We don't have all the answers, neither do they. This has never been done. Can't we just appreciate the boldness and audacity of a state investing in human creativity and uncertainty? We can certainly discuss the inequalities and political dilemmas derived from this project, but do we have to be so naive about its design and projection? We can discuss what political circumstances have allowed this country to amass enough resources to allow such an ambitious project, and the political implications of its construction. But commenting design suggestions or complaints in a random youtube video, like we know more than the people who are probably living and breathing this project is such a childish to do. That's probably why we've been so limited in terms of change in our societal structures. There's nothing we can be humble towards. And any time someone or something has the courage to get out of the box, we always have an opinionated complaint. We really are our own worst enemy, and main antagonist towards the change we deserve.
45mins of vain, glory-seeking Architects use so many words to justify why they've decided to take obscene amounts of money to participate in something so impractical. Whether for good or bad, this project is going to be very interesting.
I’d be worried it ends up like china’s ‘ghost cities’. Spending all that time and resources only for it to never be lived in…
These are arid deserts and water is scarce
The line seems extremely futuristic and too modern for people living in todays time.
It makes absolutely no sense ..if there was a shortage of land but there is a vast open desert and you wanna cram people togather in line ..dumbest idea ever
haha, I hope Discovery UK got paid well.
Suicide rates will be off the roof. Jumping down the heights
No one cant stop Arabs..all Muslim know that 😂 who READ Quran they know that❤😂
I think it's usually called a prison.
i get it but man i see ALOT of social issues with this…like MAJOR….heres three
1, 5 minute rule of working where you live…that means an office with maybe 100 staff, so what you now live beside ALL of your work colleagues??, no escape from work?, they know all off your personal life issues?
2, living in what feels like a box, cabin fever?
3, Really only suited to office based soft work, no manual labor or engineering type jobs can be done there apart from the maintenance of the structure its self, meaning no outside engineering or similar jobs. dystopyian???, "its us vs them".
literally dozens more, great idea…..humanity isnt ready for this yet
i think $1Trn is going to be experimental, maybe build 10-20 sections and see how it goes
I personally think the Line seems like a bizarre, pointless and slightly creepy, dystopian idea. It reminds me of some of the projects Albert Speer was working on for Adolf Hitler. The fact that its in Saudi Arabia puts me off too, because the Saudi regime disgusts me.
I'm not holding my breath…
"I can't imagine why anybody wouldn't want to be a part of a project" built by modern economic slaves.
XD
Can we talk about the impact desalination will have on wildlife, coral reef, etc.. all of these optimist talking about the future as if they know what is needed.. I just see mixture of egos, art and colorful words as if they're the pioneers of the future.. are they paying the workers or are they doing what they did to the workers for the Qatar World Cup.. let's keep tabs on how many will die with modern day slavery.
When you have a very small penis and lot of money to spend
zero-gravity urbanism is such a new concept that it confuses anyone who hear the term
It's like a fancy prison… Imagine being stick in the middle of it and all the electricity goes off
Future of controlled civilization. Governments wet dream
somebody with the least human intelligence will never live in such a big jail!!! what a waste of efforts, money and time!!!
I’m curious how an earthquake would affect the long structure. The tremors would cause ripples to the structure which can be disastrous but I guess the experts will consider all risks
Lol what a prison 😂
A more fitting name is "The Cage"
They should be obligated to live there
What a piece of propaganda! I’m nevertheless curious to see if this works out. And I’ll be one of the first to buy an airplane ticket to see it.
🤣 🤡 🌎
It’s where to put all the people they don’t want it’s a futuristic prison wake up people.
Social communities..? we may not like our neighbour’s, social communities end up like ALL BIG CITIES, nobody likes each other as it’s human nature…
