Wild theory: why if the original 20 kings who founded the WG were good guys with good intentions who wanted to rebuild the world after a cataclysmic event 900 years ago? That will mean that their descendants became corrupt over time because of the immense power they wield. After all, power corrupts.
Or even wilder, the Joy Boy and the ancient kingdom were the bad guys. They became corrupt by the power they wielded and the 20 kingdoms were the ones who opposed him resulting in a war that destroyed the world. After the war, they banned the technologies of the Ancient Kingdom and deleted history so nobody can recreate the weapons that led to the destruction of the world. In time their descendants were corrupted by power.

What if, just like how oda confirmed ushimaru wasnt zoros dad, but never said they arent related, yet they look exactly the same. Dragon is related to Rocks, but hes not his son. What if Garp was with or married to Rocks’ sister. And Rocks is his Uncle. If true that would make Garp having to fight Dragon all the more tragic, as they were technically family. I dont see Oda including Ushimarus appearance and yet explicitly claiming theyre not father and son fitting better into any other theory😊
