  1. As someone who grew up in NJ I had never heard about this until I moved near the pine barrens. Love this story, definitely dont fully believe it, but some times when I drive through the pine barrens at night I keep an eye out.

  2. So, I’ve live in NJ my whole life. I’ve heard about the pine barrens, but never went there or knew where it was. One day I had to go from the Jersey shore to south western Jersey and I’ve never been in that area before. I start driving and it’s basically a straight road through all these woods and I had the WORST anxiety the entire time, so much that I didn’t want to drive back home that way and went 2 hours out of my way not to. I found out 2 days later that I drove through the pine barrens and when I started reading about all the legends and murders that have happened there …. The energy is horrible and heavy… I’ll never go back

  3. You know how in the old times women used to sit together and churn butter or weave cloth? Well, they would tell each other stories to keep themselves entertained.

Whenever I'm working on my art while listening to the pod, I feel like I am living a tradition thousands of years old.

  4. I would love to hear your thoughts on spontaneous combustion and people vanishing into nowhere right before someone's eyes. I've read several experiences with both of those, and there's just no answers!

  6. I love the way he talks about us Filipinos and our country like he's a coloniser and we're just drooling idiots waiting for some white guy.

White guy with no work ethic,

News flash, we do have building standards.

  8. I live in the NJ pine barrens (like 25 miles of untouched woods behind my house) and when getting an estimate for a pool this guy had been wandering around our back yard doing whatever pool guys do, the sun was setting so it was getting dark, and he was hearing these loud wings swooshing and this screeching coming from the woods. So he runs to the front yard and tells my dad he saw the Jersey Devil, freaking tf out and sped off and never came back 😭 it was a turkey vulture (they terrified me and my sister many times bc you’d hear them on the roof) but still a favorite story of ours

  9. I LOVE this episode!!! PLEASE do more cryptid episodes!!! ❤❤ some cryptids that might be interesting include Bigfoot, Dover Demon, lakeland frogman, chupacabra, loch ness, Mothman and crawlers (there are different kinds!)

Another episode idea that would be so good would be the mystery and lore of energy vortexes around the country and the world…we have one here in Montana up on the edge of Glacier National Park and there has been a huge number of bigfoot sightings in the area!

  10. I have always been fascinated by the story of the Jersey devil! So glad you did an episode! Maybe think about covering the Chupacabra and Wendigo, that would be super creepy, the Wendigo freaks me out 😬🤣
    Great episode as always! 🖤

  11. The Pine Barrens are on fire right now. Hope the Jersey Devil is safe out there! Great episode ladies! I suggested this topic as it's near and dear to my heart. I'm from PA but my maternal grandmother was part of a branch of the founding family of Millville, NJ.

  12. I love a good cryptid episode! I’m excited for national parks!! The paranormal and missing 411 stories are soo cool! More scary than that… no one can convince me that there are not humans out there hurting people! Whether it be “feral” humans, cannibals, serial Krillers, etc. What about the map of missing people lining up with the map of caves in the US😅

  13. not me listening to this as i’m driving one road over from greentree where the one sighting was hahaha. i’m a born and raised south jersey girl and personally have never had a jersey devil experience, but i have had other paranormal experiences in the pine barrens. i can’t say i believe in the jersey devil tbh, i would need to see some proof to believe it haha
