  1. I’ve watched dozens and dozens of reactions to this episode. And you guys being one of the first reaction channels that I first got attached to, I truly appreciate finally seeing your reactions

  2. I'm so glad you both enjoyed this episode as much as I did. It was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. It amazes me that the writers can introduce us to two characters and within a little over an hour, show us their whole life together and make us feel so much for these two guys. Like Steve said it's an episode of television I'll never forget. So great to see you both back reacting. I've missed you both and wishing all the best for your good health Lacey.

  3. My plan would be to make alternative parts for cars/trucks for roadless driving, like brake pads made from Copper – Replacement wheel/tire commination made from springs attached to rims(compressed enough to act like pressure in a tire) secured with wire rope plastic feet with groves for rope bindings then leather sheets sawn together for the actual tread part then put in molten Tar for a days soaking to make it weather proof…. those 2 ideas would begin create a trade system years down the line…….

  4. Survival trade —- Set of brake pads = 4 chickens , 1 lamb — new tire/wheel = 2 lambs and 4 chickens —
    rebuilt/modified car shell = 1 cow 1 horse, 1 pig — new 3 cylinder radial 1.4 litre engine 2 cows, 6 chickens 1 horse 1 pig……

  5. I've watched probably a dozen reactions to this show and certain episodes, like this one, make me cry every single time. I really hope this show wins the TV show award trophies.

  7. This is right up there as some of the best television episodes I’ve seen. Out of the entire season, it’s the episode that still stays with me. Bill and Frank lived about as well as anyone could have done in the apocalypse. Instead of being ripped apart by clickers or bloaters, they lived to an old age and went out the way they wanted to go. I’d consider that a win.

Even now, it’s still hard to make it through the scenes of Frank’s last day without tearing up. I had to track down the piece accompanying that scene. It’s called, “On the Nature of Daylight,” by Max Richter. It’s apparently been in a number of TV shows and movies. But they could not have picked a more fitting piece to accompany that scene.

My initial reaction to Frank being wheelchair bound and deciding on his last day was the same as yours, Lacey: that it was cancer. However, it seems to be more neurological in nature – Parkinson’s, MS, or ALS, something like that. Given Frank’s trouble with painting, having to use bendy straws to drink, and being wheelchair bound, I think it was something degenerative to his motor functions.

Steve, your reaction during the episode is funny. It’s kinda like, “This is making me feel stuff! I don’t wanna feel stuff!”

  8. Really glad you're back. It's a shame I can't share an opinion without being attacked in your comments section, so this is the last time I'll ever be posting in them. Will still be watching though!

  9. Welcome back! Yeah I definitely didn't expect one of the best love stories I've ever seen to come from The Last Of Us series😅 and like you said, for the connection to the characters being so deep after such a short period of time is just proof of how great the writers and actors were. Both deserve awards for this one🙌

  10. This was an amazing episode. HBO really brought the game to life. Filmed in Canada, some of the best movie-quality acting and cinematopgraphy is waiting for you ahead. Lacey I am so glad that you are feeing better.

  11. One of the great things about the writing of this show (and by extension, the concept of the game it was based on) is demonstrated here… how strongly we feel about, and are affected by, characters that we have only known for 15-20 minutes. A powerful episode.

  12. Very beautiful episode; a much needed break in the hectic apocalyps.
Regarding Franks disease: I would say he had a neurological (like MS) or muscular disease (like ALS). Because they did have some medicines I would go with MS.
All the best from the Netherlands!

  13. You're looking great, Stacey, though a fair way to go before you're looking as great as Steve. Glad you're back, though, and on the way up!
This episode was brilliant and, how it could stand alone and still be good, reminds me of the Eastman/Morgan episode "Here's Not Here" in TWD. It isn't necessary for the show's overall narrative to tell this story but that it can, and that it does, says the show is a cut above the rest.
Glad you enjoyed it and wasn't affraid to shed a tear – as I'm pretty sure most people did.
Good reaction. Good to see you're back!

  14. Glad you guys are back & so happy your doing well Lacey! I hope yall know the last of us is based off the big popular last of us video game from playstation . Most things in the show came from the video game and some little things were adding into the show that weren’t shown on screen in the video game❤

  15. Loved this episode. Incredible story of two lonely people who find one another in an Apolcolypse. Amazing love story. Cried so hard at the end. Incredible acting from Nick Offerman/Bill and Murray Barlett/Frank.

  16. There was a section of the game fan base that reacted badly to this episode and I think the sad thing is they are probably the ones who have taken the most from it.

It could have been a ham fisted storyline but I think it was done perfectly to the extent that only the most closed mind would really care that it was too big hairy guys.
If these two and the writers don’t win awards for this, I’m starting a revolution.

  17. I just want to say you guys are the epitome of what a reaction channel should be. I'm watching your Walking Dead reactions and it's so great to see two people so invested in the show. Makes my day a whole lot better. Thanks for what you do!
