The Last of Us is an American post-apocalyptic drama television series created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann for HBO. Based on the 2013 video game developed by Naughty Dog, the series follows Joel (Pedro Pascal), a smuggler tasked with escorting the teenage Ellie (Bella Ramsey) across a post-apocalyptic United States. Incredible episode. How that horde was shot was incredible, it felt unreal. It really paid off bringing Terry Notary in as the movement expert.

Their are 4 stages of infected, the bloater is the 4th stage. I love how the henry/Sam story was told for the show
This was a great episode. Oh, Ellie's belief that she could cure Sam made it so much more painful. I'm pretty sure she genuinely thought it would work. She is a child, she's been told she is a cure, she has no idea how medicine works and how making cures works… She apologizes at his grave.
When Tess died, Ellie hung around to grieve, while Joel shoved his emotions down grimly and pressed on. This time it was Joel who lingered and Ellie who left. He is becoming more emotional, and she is becoming colder/more traumatized. Also, Joel and Henry mocked "endure and survive." Henry survived but couldn't endure. Both parts are important.
If you play the video game, when you get to the sewers area, get every note from Ish. They give a nod to him which I appreciate (the part of the tunnels with the kid's room and the picture on the wall that says, "Our protectors -> Daddy and Ish." It's a fascinating and heartwarming/heartbreaking story).
Fun Fact: The OG Bloater death in the game is the bloater grabs Joel's face and rips his jaw off. It only goes to black as his face gets rips apart.
