can we just talk about how episode 4 was a sweet and wholesome episode and didnt have many parts that could make someone bawl their eyes out but then they pull THIS on episode 5. like 😭😭
I was waiting for you to watch this episode but your reaction really broke my heart! I cried a lot when I played the game and I cried even harder when I watched the episode. It is so tragic, but so well done. I love this show and can't wait for your reaction to the next episode, it's my favorite!

Lamar and Kievonn were absolutely fantastic as Henry and Sam.
There are a lot more tunnels from sandstone mining under KC. Including one called Subtropolis, where the old mine has been turned into a business district for various manufacturing that need a stable temperature all year round. Has a railroad and 2 lane highway over 10 miles of tunnels.
Fun fact: the earlier episode starts with a pile of corpses burning. 3:11

You can tell who played the game first since we know where the story goes but they did a great job on the infected this episode. Unfortunately they don’t keep this pace up in the final 4
This series is extra tough on empaths. So many of these episodes reach the core of the soul. ♥

When I played the game years ago and this part whith Henry & Sam happend at about 11pm at night, I remember just sitting alone in the dark for about an hour. I had to turn it off and decompress! Never had a game impact me the way this did.

one heartbreaking detail i seen someone else point out awhile back is the fact that sam must have layed down facing away from ellie because he knew that if he turned, he wouldnt be able to hear her, and she would be in less danger…this series is brutal
Edit: also i dont know which is sadder, to think that ellie said "im sorry" because her blood didnt work, or that she said that because she fell asleep after promising to stay awake with him..
Fun fact: Adam Basil, the actor who played the Bloater in this Episode is 6'6 Foot Tall (1.95 cm), and the full Bloater suit weight is at least 80 Pounds (40 Kg).

This is the episode where you really understand why Joel is the way he is as you watch Ellie begin to turn into a mini Joel.
This episode killed me too. Especially Bella's whimpering when Henry shot himself and the "I'm sorry" at the end.
