  1. I doubt any aliens out there will ever star hop even four light years to another star en masse. Or it will be so incredibly rare it would be a statistical impossibility. Not to mention a practical impossibility! Or a total impossibility! Even designing and building probes to travel even 4 mere lightyears may prove to be a type of impossibility and relatively unlikely and impractical. A smarter alien species would hunker down , eliminate capitalism entirely , and slow down , trying to aim for species longevity and longterm life support. A trully intelligent advanced alien species would be extremely conservative and try to satisfy everyone while keeping the population as small as possible to minimize consumption without creating shortages for anyone! That's what constitutes true intelligence. The people that run this planet ,all nations, and corporate along with political interests don't really possess any truly deep intrinsic intelligence characteristics. Especially the US military industrial complex and The Department Of Defense! The guys behind corporations are….idiots! And totally insane too. Many of the wealthiest people on the planet are well known psychopaths as well. When Bezos says we need to increase energy production you know he's a complete and total idiot! And he gives off signals and tells that he's a power hungry psychopath! Just about everybody is far too slow in intelligence recognizing the obvious though. Elon Musk is a chameleon psychopath. Just hand him 56 billion he says! Sure . Sweet Elon spreading that impression around that he's sweet Elon right after he demands 56 billion for motivation to keep Tesla going while it's fading into extinctsion like his promises of grandiose artificiality that he never delivered. But he sure did promise that his technology was something the world has never seen . And so far advanced mere mortals could never understand that Elon's an actual psychopath. Notice that the 100-120 million psychopaths ,100 million each bipolar and schizophrenics, and 500 million each sociopaths and narcissists always avoid talking about their insanity and how it affects everything and everyone on Earth! Now why is it that the Koch brothers control the media? It's all mind control. Advertizing lies. Corporations like Halliburton,3M,and Boeing. Dupont. The evil Cargill Macmillan corporation. Pure psychopathy recognizing eachother and cooperating under a veil of total insanity. All the pharmaceutical corporations. Republican and Democratic parties do not exist. Psychopaths control everything. Billionare nut cases who are never satisfied. Psychopaths. Psychopaths. Psychopaths. Psychopaths. So anyway we should recycle all the matter and return it to the soil to increase longevity of resources. We need indefinite timeframes to evolve and develop better technologies and understanding of evolution for millions of years by recycling energy and staving off resource plundering for quick fixes of dumb people claiming to be smarter based on how well they plunder and steal, rob, murder to gain power, etc. They overcomplicate the laws and geopolitical situations claiming to be law upholding but in reality are just the opposite based upon the constant stream of historical evidence worldwide! Many psychopaths become the wealthiest and most powerful because they get away with crime. The absolute proof is detailed in history by those that were caught but who could have easily been among the wealthiest and most powerful tyrants the Earth has ever seen! Pablo Escobar . There was another guy who wound up owning a major soccer team and negotiated the mining rights to i think it may have been North Korea and if he had been able to follow through he could've been one of the richest of all time. Then around 1820 there was Gregor Macgregor. Watch Patrick Boyle talk about Gregor Macgregor in a video he released in August 2024! Notice the similarities between Gregor Macgregor and Elon Musk. Why is Bill Gates buying up all the farmland? What's going on with the people buying up the water rights? Alot of those guys aren't necessarily too bright either. They may con most and hire others to con mostly everyone into thinking Elon and Peter Theil actually have some brains. But they're not that smart. It's little telling signs they give off like if they have anything to say cracks form in their statements. And the frequency of cracks in their words increase the more they speak. And there are signs they're insane . Like Theil believing in monopolies. Like who the f is he? Billionares are nobodys. they're just pretenders. And most billionares are insane. Alot of them are psychopaths . Like when people die we should be buried in a way that replenishes the soil for recycling nutrients. When has Elon EVER talked about vastly superior intelligence like that? NEVER!!! Or how about Sabine Hossenfelder talking about a statement some incredibly insae billionare psychopath gave around the end of August 2024 or around that time where the guy gave a statement about increasing energy production . What an idiot. Bezos said the same thing on Chris Williamson's or was it no. It was another guy's youtube channel who recently interviewed Trump. I think it was Lex Fridman's youtube channel where Bezos thought we should increase energy production. Only psychopathic fools think like that. But going back to Sabine hossenfelder's youtube channel a little over a month ago she reported about some psychopath billionare saying how he believed the Earth could hold several billion humans. It was a ridiculous number like 150 billion humans. Then he was saying humans were predators and i think something about how we were destined to expand in outer space and conquer the universe or something. And all the aliens too I think he was hinting at. I can't remember exactly . But the guy was totally ridiculous and should be barred from having billions and any type of control or power. That was and is an extremely obvious psychopath. whoever that clown is. Then if more people begin to study insanity more closely and pay attention to everyone's opinion then filter out the counter information the corporations filled with psychopaths and the full insane spectrum as lawyers, doctors, police officers and CEOs that psychopaths gravitate towards as career choices much becomes evident if we scientifically weigh all statements for validity to what degree and invalid statements for what purposes. and who or which groups are the lying individuals affiliated with and whu are they affiliated . Then the trail leads back to money. And about a billion insane are heavy with those who lack scruples. Especially the psychopaths. Who absolutely definitely don't want their insanity to become publicly known for some reason. Related to their power and being in control of everyone's wealth through fraudulent practices within the banking sectors and wall street. And the monopolies of Black rock,State Street, and Vanguard who are all really tied in together as a single entity to control the entire scope and breadth of congress. To control the laws and cheat , con , or swindle the majority of the world populace out of existence painfully while they rob everybody out there whenever they can stab you in the back with a friendly smile on their faces and a gleam in their eyes thinking of all the free gold they're about to recieve in congress or the beauracracy. Who serve their psychopathic masters hiding behind corporations and corporate structures. Much like fake beauracratic departments with miles of regulations that never make any sense. Or the laws . or the tax code being indecipherable.

  2. It’s not all about technology. It’s an easy assumption to make that digital technological advancement will affect every civilisation. It doesn’t. In fact, one piece of technology one of our visitors had with them was once said to be ‘an empty box with two wires in it’

  3. There could be a dozen Roman Empire type civilizations within 10 light years of us and until we can image atmospheres of earth sized planets, we’d never know it.
But I believe swinging from trees to launching starships in ~8 million years, or even 60 million years, is something that is probably crazy rare. Wouldn’t be surprised if we’re the early ones. Statically improbable or not, SOMEONE has to be first.

  4. I don’t understand how we assume we’re the only things that are observing and consuming our surroundings? I believe since we are so small it’s almost impossible to know and find. And we only have other planets and galaxies for example of size. What if we are on like a nano scale of the universe? And we have this grand idea that we are in perhaps the largest part? Infinity is merely a size problem, you can’t have infinity without nothing. Has to be a balance of nothing and a lil something to recognize nothing. Basic principle of a CPU. On/off isn’t that life? Coupled with going through a hell of a lot of doors? Just so many when ya think about it.

  5. One of the things that puts me to sleep is the thought we’re not alone in the universe. For some it may be terrifying not because ‘scary aliens’ but from an existentialist perspective. Knowing our lives are so limited and the possibilities are endless. However, it brings me great comfort to know that the struggles we face daily are not to be taken so seriously. I go to sleep knowing that somewhere out there, inside an intergalactic bar, two voyagers from different systems discuss trivial thing, problems similar to mine or not.

  7. Greed. Our defining characteristic.
We are barely willing to admit that happiness does not improve with money, wealth, or power. More is not better. Kardashev seems to have been stuck in the Industrial paradigm where Nature is harnessed to feed the demands of greed. Our strivings are almost entirely driven by materialism, and Kardashev seems to have extrapolated our goals. Technological advancement isn't making us more moral or happier.
I would think that a truly advanced civilization has figured out how to be happy, and probably doesn't succeed by fighting Nature and each other. If they figured out how to live with the Universe, rather than controlling it, they will be exceedingly hard to detect because we are looking for technosignatures that indicate disruption of the natural order.
