12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) could’ve been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother’s (Taraji P. Henson) latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying – and the feeling is mutual – but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible.   3. Funny they needed to combine part of the deleted scenes during the end. They actually cut the fight between the 2 teacher were Mr. Han defetead the other one after he was going to slap his student after losing. The reason why all the kids showed respect to Mr. Han was because he took down their teacher… During the fist bump you can actually see the head of the other teacher down on the floor behind them.
