The Judds, Live from Gilley’s, Pasadena, TX (Fall 1984)

Source: Westwood One, LG 84-50, Vinyl, 12”, 33 1/3-rpm.
Date: “Aired wknd of 12/8-9/84” as per cue sheet.

This show took place around the time of the release of The Judds’ first full-length LP, “Why Not Me.” Naomi mentions at the time of recording that the title track was their current single. Given the song was released September 21, 1984, I believe this performance was likely recorded in October or early-November 1984.

The recording is taken from the Westwood One promotional vinyl which was sent to radio stations for broadcast during the weekend of December 8th/9th, 1984. The record includes national commercial spots at the end of each segment, which I’ve left in tact for nostalgia.

Below is the text of the Cue Sheet (with chapters) that was included with the vinyl, including some typos! 😉
