One of my favorite aspects of Starsector is exploration. The idea of just unraveling the map of the Persean Sector thread by thread doesn’t tire me because there’s almost always some kind of surprise around the corner. And sure, sometimes the surprises this run have been spicy — but they’ve been manageable too. Mostly. Or at least I can story point out of it. In this episode I go into a little bit of the thought process behind the rules and limitations of the run, why I’m not opening up the ship cap for logistics ships, and attempt to poke my head into systems where i don’t belong.

Also, you’re welcome to comment with requests for officer or ship names, but please know that it’s going to be a bit of a slower burn for getting ships and officers into the fleet this go ’round. Starsector is a very moddable game, and if you are familiar with the game there are always mods available to take your game further. Below is the list of mods I am using for this run and they are all available on the Fractal Softworks website (note that I have allocated 6 GB of memory to keep this stable):

    By the way, how is the hivers behaveing on on the overall map? ( i only watch some of your chaps uploaded yet)

  2. 10:00 I definitely would have purchased that autopulse from Maggies.
    41:00 The Riz is probably one of my favorite flagships.
    49:10 That Sentry looks interesting, never flown with that, but I tend to shy away from Cruisers without Large hardpoints. Also, you marked the captainslog in beta zennor, this ship was in alpha zennor.

Decided to base my mod list off yours instead of Rarrs, got rid of mods like Better Colonies, Hegemony Expeditions, Hazard Mining Incorporated, Lowtech Armada, Stop Gap Measures, Superweapons Arsenal, No Such Org, Underworld, Vayra's Ship Pack, Fluffs Ship Pack, and Arsenal Expansion. Instead using more faction mods, hopefully that'll cut out a lot of needless junk and allow for more specialization. Also used to use Cari's Minimal UI. Forgot how to allocate ram for the game though since it's been a while, but I appreciate that you list the mods you use.

  4. Hello Asher Tks so much for reading our comments an giving feed back. But if I may be more clear on what i think we are saying. I Believe we all love the idea of the lvl cap rules for what size ships u can have if really does give a fulfilling experience, when you get to the higher levels and are able to do the big fights. But would be cool to have the same kinda experience with the sup fleet. Meaning to have separate lvl rules for the sup fleet. Maybe you we’ll find your self being able to use bigger ships but it’s risky to go far distance since your sup fleet is more balanced. Where as u can just easily drop a few battle ships in exchange for stored sup ships. In ur current rule set. I hope my suggestion makes since. Tks again for making awesome content. ❤

  5. you could limit, just one freighter one fuel ship or two of each with no size limitations between those two, one destroyer one heavy frigate, but civil ships don't affect if not are in combat
