  1. Take this season put it in a paper bag and bury it in the backyard. I think we have seen enough of Mr. Kelly to realize that once again LSU has made a bad choice for coach. Will they be better next season? Yeah, I think so but the analogy of Les is a good one. He will get great players and then play them out of position, try to make them into something they are not. His whole deal is that he has a system and the player has to fit that rather than the system be designed to take advantage of the player. Everyone knows that we have to change things around to avoid a horrible season. If your offensive and defensive schemes are crap, you can't coach them better and expect better results. This is how he is like Les. Too stubborn, prideful, just limited in imagination to ever do any kind of meaningful adjustments when what you have drawn up doesn't work. We may see some 8-4 seasons, maybe even a 9-3 but it will never get better than that.

  2. Jordy started preaching at the 26 minute mark. LSU needs to fully commit to running a MODERN offensive scheme. The Veer & Shoot offense that Tennesse runs is not personnel dependent. That offense has worked everywhere. Baylor. UCF. Ole Miss. Tulsa. Bowling Green. Syracuse. It’s working at Kent State right now. I can keep going on.

It masks your weak areas. Spread the field with wide splits. Use the numbers. Move the ball.

I’m a former high school ball coach in Hattiesburg & we ran a version of this & scored 40 a game 5 seasons in a row. It’s possible.

  3. Lol we are not more talented than Tenn where it matters. Anyone who is willing to be slightly objective could see that was a better team. And Perkins didn’t play because he would have been smoked in coverage.
