  1. TIM: "Even a doctor in LA will brag about his celebrity clients."

I went to a chiropractor a few times in the '90s who was the ex-husband of Cybill Shepherd. True story.

  2. I can’t get any Comanche artifacts but I can have someone make personalized beaded necklaces or anything. Knowing that joe Rogan is interested in our heritage is pretty cool and I can definitely help with anything

  3. Tim’s story of coming up with a great idea for present for Joe, and then giving up on it because it’s too hard, is so heartfelt 😢 What do you get for someone who has everything anyway??

  4. One thing about AirBnB is that the hotels lobbied local governments to restrict how many airbnbs one person can own… so that may be one reason why it's declining. Big business legislating in their own favor yet again. I have no horse in the race, but I dont like corporations buying off the government, no matter what.

  5. I am Tahoe native and yes short term rentals are no longer. Airbnb are not the ones making the rules, the city enforces the rules and regulations. The guest would have to do the bare minimum regarding cleaning, such as putting dishes in dishwasher and run it and gather trash and leave in home. Not asking to clean the whole house such as the toilets, mop floors, vacuum, put dishes away, and wash bedding . It gives the housekeepers a head start if they have a guest checking into the same house on the dame day., that would be considered a back 2 back. Guest that travel a far distance like to to check in at the time of check in.. If the house is huge mess then it take longer for housekeepers [to clean and on top of that they will have more than 1 home to clean that day. Some of these home could be 800 sq ft to 6000 sq feet. The least thing the guest can do is put dishes in dishwasher and gather trash to leave in the unit. City Ordnance requires quite time to be 10 pm to 8 am . Voice have a tendency to carry when you are in the mountains. If someone is in a hot tub late night and the neighbors bedroom window is right by the deck, that's a problem. Be self aware to know that you have people who live here year round that are not on vacation and have to work the next day. Treat the home how you would treat your own home. Its all common sense.. When you rent through a 3rd party, such as Airbnb ,your fees are going to be more in price. The company I worked for in Tahoe that manages vacation rentals all around the lake did not charge $500 for cleaning unless the home was at lease a 5000 sq ft to 7000 sq ft home. If you don't like the rules regarding staying in someone else's home that is located in a residential neighborhood, I suggest than you stay at a hotel or casino's. Nevada is 24hrs. . The lake is swim-able in the summer, obviously not in the winter

  6. I know zero point zero travelers with a pulse that stay in hotels. AirBnB is by far the preferred method of folks I know but it seems like domestic bookings have more rules and fees. I used AirBnB in Iceland, Italy and Serbia and it was a breeze. Booked for Montana and had to provide name of all travelers and wait for approval.
