  1. I'd like to see Wendigoon do a video about the Montana Freemen. They used the barter system instead of the dollar and wanted to be left alone, so the Feds couldn't tolerate that

  2. I'm a math grad student and I gave "boundary functions" a try. it was by no means a careful and thorough read, more like skimming it, but surprisingly it seems not as difficult as I anticipated. I reckon that deep understanding of a paper is not the same as skimming it, but still I wonder what they meant by saying that only few people could understand it – probably that being able to use the results in one's own research and appreciating the depth of the theory was inaccessible to most. on the other hand, that was many years ago, so I guess a lot of the tools and insights he used were new at the time, but are cosidered well-known today, it's very common in math. I suppose the same can be said about the work of many famous mathematicians

while reading the paper and writing this comment I had a bad idea: how about I prepare a lecture about the boundary functions and present it at some math event without mentioning who the author of the source is? in situations like this I wish math was more popular, so that it could be considered a cool easter egg, but instead it's just a nerdy joke and a nerdy ramble lol

  3. 1:46:54 This might be a reference to Hot Diggity Demon’s .MOV series, a R-Rated parody of MLP. Fluttershy’s catch phrase in the series is “Hey, hey, hey! Stay outta my shed!” (In almost a Fat Albert kind of voice.)

  4. Tbh a criticism i have with the whole "you have mental illness because of society" style arguments that Ted makes is that even if we live in an objective utopia, there would still be mental illnesses. I'd still have anxiety in a utopia, ADHD too. Do I think society is apathetic to mental illness? Yes. But do I think that drastically changing society will rid even just most mental illnesses from most people? Nope. I'd still have anxiety and ADHD and depression even if I was born and raised in Ted's ideal society or whatever kind of society people try to seriously rally behind.

Should state now that I'm managing alright mentally and don't really want or need sympathy (it makes me uncomfortable).

  5. To me the manifesto itself is a great example of someone being taken seriously because they can write in an academic style, when I think it's clear that NO ONE else edited the document and a lot of it seems nothing-burger, and although it finds patterns in society, he fails to come up with decent scientific reasoning. I feel like Ted's deep held beliefs being berated in the Harvard "study" only ended up being a factor that drove him deeper into his beliefs and even more intolerant of anyone challenging or questioning them. Like when people who hold conspiracy beliefs feel rejected for them, they tend to turn away from anything challenging their beliefs and go deeper into their conspiracy worldview.

  6. Don't enjoy the pivot of topic, personally. Don't understand the pivot from internet horror purveyor to political terrorism analyzer either.

Why would anyone want to hear from the CIA after your videos on their actions in other countries?
