dang, you found the SSD
Herglics don't have official stats in FFG, some of the unofficial species I saw in Oggdude's character generator look a bit broken. Sounds like Herglics are one of those
Moff Shack is so pissed at the CSA's surprise attack, he does a 30 second intro rather than one that goes for a minute or 2.
o7 Hey cap when the target indicator for the bombing run has a triangle that circles the target that shows you which way you can have the bombing run come in from you can pick the direction the bombers come in from the triangle does not point the way the go it shows the way they come in from so the wide angle is the exit path. just so you know and can avoid anti-air. enjoy the good news!!!
Playing as the black sun i have 3 main ground invasion fleets with 4 space combat fleets. I decided to put a single providence as the fleet lead for my ground invasion fleet to act as both an escort and as a ground support ship since it has both bombardment and bombing run capability. That way if i move the blockading ship to rejoin the fleet as the ground force moves to the planet im about to invade. They can still try to fend off enemy reinforcements if they manage to get a few small ships in orbit in an attempt to secure their territory.
32:20 last time I checked it was a 25% defense bonus, but I’m going off memory so take it with some salt
Shack: "I need escorts. I need escorts!"
Me: "Oh my gosh is he finally going to build-"
Shack: (orders yet another capital ship)
Me: (sigh)
When are you going to take Hoth? You have a big fleet just sitting there doing nothing.
I see 2 maybe 3 ways to go here 1st: build a force in Shed's sector. A fleet and respectable army hit either Bandomeer or Sereno (maybe both) securing them then hit Yavin 4 Rhen Var and Korriban box them in and tighten the rope its slower but the hyperspace lane slightly makes up for it, and gets 1 angle on Mandiore for later then 2nd: choice is Roche cobble together, whatever you can forces from the core Hapes ships (which are really neat) and so on its faster but if it gets hit by black sun or rebels that door gets slammed in your face. plus, you can't spy on Roche (I think? correct me if I'm wrong) but you MIGHT have no clue what awaits you might be a sizeable force there for all we know. The 3rd and most risky/crazy choice Is cutting though black sun and Moncala territory to box them in from that angle. Regardless of choice I also recommend sending Vadar to deal with the forces near Kuat and closing the rebel pocket (or at least pushing them back ) around that Area plus knowing Vader Hed probably not want to deal with Ozzel's shenanigans and rather be off killing rebels then dealing with incompetent idiotic fools like Ozzel.
Oh and make ozzel actually useful for once and hit rebel worlds around hoth maybe push him to retake Naboo so he's not standing around doing Sweet bugger All if he (somehow) succeeds its more holdings for the empire (well more like retaking them but details) if not Vadar has one more reason to kill him.
I've always preferred the tactic with this game of having a few big fleets with Interdictors at strategic locations to invade or defend, while every planet gets a pair of Arquintens.
When I take a planet from the enemy I drop two Arquintens on it and keep my fleet moving while the Army plays catch up. During one campaign I had two thirds of the galaxy under occupation, but I only technically owned about half of them.
ISD 3 needs some screen time. Also I think it has Interdictor
Can we have a hour episode where you just annihilate the Corporate sector.
Shack thinking of adding escorts to his army transport fleets…
Me: In my last playthrough (As Rebels), I started adding some of the older MC class to the army fleets to provide bombardment and bombing runs in support of the ground invasion. I used a single cap ship that had both abilities per army. That way the main fleet could keep on burning its way across the galaxy, leaving a picket ship at each planet that they cleared the orbit of. (Yes, this is a mid-late game tactic for when you have the procuction to be able to shift your older Tier I caps off to escort duty)
Imp Rep 60 – Lord Vader was pleased to move again as we made landings on Deveron. I get the sense that he has been bored or frustrated from just reading reports over the past few weeks that once the time and forcers were arrayed to go in with the landing, he was insistent on going in with the assault waves. Commodore Shed seemed all the more willing to let him go, though, his tone also struck me as the same sort of old tone that many old Republic officers had when they complained about how the Jedi didn't follow them. I would hope that this would be more a reference to Commodore Shed's age and not his thinking. As Lord Vader is no Jedi and has served quite well with military leadership… And much of this played out when reports came back from Deveron's surface. Vader and the artillery with him managed to crush and obliterate large numbers of Black Sun infantry and light vehicles. And all for no casualties…
Once Deveron was captured, the fleet moved on to the next Black Sun world along the belt of systems we're advancing along. From reports, it would indicate that the battle was a victory, though one that wouldn't quite be as crashing as the admiralty would suspect. Much of this came as the Black Sun decided to retreat from the world and the fleet had no way of holding them through interdiction fields. This is frustrating, but one that has also come from panicking among the admiralty at Coruscant. And they've been worried about actions related to Operation Capital Gains and how that has progressed…
And since the return to Telos, that campaign has been working… and from what General Veers has reported, the Corporate Sector has not landed additional troops on the worlds they've blockaded. It would appear that we have been lucky in that regard, but because they've also spread their fleet out and blockaded several worlds, the fleets and construction in space in that region are very limited. Captain Pellaeon even reported that the fleets in the region also appear larger than what the ISB had predicted at the campaign's start, and things didn't get any better when a scout ship was destroyed by a Purrgil… Damn space whales. We managed to take Telos and then it's neighboring world to secure a direct line to what was hoped to be the main ground forces in the region.
However, this is where some of the troubles come into play. Because General Veers had only had part of the ground force when the anomaly sent him out of the corporate sector region, the force he has remaining forces have been whittled down and the Corporate Sector had fortified one world to where he lost an AT-ST and some old infantry and leaving him with a rather spent force. The hope for the moment was that this return and strike would be enough to greatly weaken the Corporate Sector forces, however, many of these forces have also proven to be so light that they are more likely to run than fight and thus has required the need for an interdictor cruiser or Star Destroyer. And it's these events that had the admiralty pull an Interdictor Star Destroyer from the Byss Defense Fleet.
What happens from there is anyone's guess. The Black Sun still controls the Roche Asteroid Belt and is suspected of having a powerful capital ship at the heart of that fleet that might be able to match even the Executor Class, particularly with what ships it has escorting it. And with the one Executor Class ship we have likely to be involved in the next attempt to retake Telos and support landings there before Pellaeon can move on to Etti IV and the last Corporate Sector Fleet… that may mean a lot of building will need to be done to provide for a whole new fleet and moving the Kaut Defense Fleet back to Kuat before the Rebels sense weakness there. – Ensign Jaeger Meister, ISD Devastator 2.
Maybe you could do a SW:EAW:FOC:Age of Legends campaign next as opposed to a fourth campaign of AOTR?
Why cancel the KDY production? Build it at Fondor or Sullust?
Truly glorious
Best character is Hawkeye Pierce
You've got other planets that can make carriers, let kuat make star destroyers, they are built specifically to do that
I wonder why the subplot of this game is always the promotion of another and completely different game? It feels the same as the MSM stuffing us with WOKE ideology.
"You didn't get through the academy by being impatient, you can wait," Beady kept repeating the same phrase over and over again whilst he continued to wait for the promised invasion of Hoth, every time he believed himself just a fraction less…
[this is not a stab at Shack, just maintaining my character because I've been falling out of the habit of telling his ramblings lately]
It looks as if you could use an artillery battalion & an Interdictor in the north.
I would love some 3D Armco irregular troops in my guard army. Mercenary from the rouge trader Shack who graciously loaned some of his private forces to help in the defence of a world he had trading interests on.
Admiral's log
Log 44
Admiral Royal
Bellator Dreadnought "Megador"
Everyone's working overtime to fix the sudden assault. I hear Pelleon's been busy blitzing the Northern defenses against the remnants of the CSA, while I'm assaulting Devaron and going against Atzerri, it was quick, not much I can say, I'm just a dreadnought admiral stuck in the back line, how does that make sense, I'll file a complaint later
