The Host Fish Monster Origins Explored | Where did this thing even come form and why its gross

As the South Korean summer is wrapping up and they begin heading into Autumn, Thins are fairly quiet. Well that is until everyone hanging out near the Han river is attacked by a giant fish dog. From here the question is launched, What is this thing and where did it come from? While its origins are discussed somewhat, it still doesn’t explain its actual acquisition of limbs, so we will discuss that today and be absolute chads!

  1. South Korean Government will go as far as letting a ferrie capsize and sink full of high schoolers and their biggest concern is keeping video of it happening from going into the public rather than actually helping the trapped kids. Their Blue House could give our White House a run for its money.

  2. Your fuckin delayed outro scared the shit out of me lmao. Was listening to you in the background while playing a game, and the long pause made me go "oh, guess the video's over, let's start the next one". Then your voice comes out of nowhere and it made me physically jump lol

  3. I remember watching this movie as a kid cause it was rated PG-13 and me and my friend wanted to see a horror movie. We were very bored and didn’t understand much of plot besides “this fish is supposed to be scary.” A couple 13 year olds from America would not understand the political subtext of the Han river and Americans poisoning it and the strong anti-American resentment with the government.

Also I don’t remember it having any comedy. We clearly missed that part.

  4. Dude, I was watching your SOTD video until the, ads I do, and heard your announcement that you covered the host (which I thought you had already done) “last week” (which surprised me). So here I am watching it now. Why did I, and possibly so many others (based on you saying something about the numbers), think you already covered this film. Mandela Effect I guess. Anyway enjoyed your video especially since this is easily one of my favorite movies of the cloverfield variety. The host was my first exposure to Bong Jon-Ho and I haven’t looked back since. This had so much talent on the screen and the dark comedy/tragedy was so on point there are scenes that emotionally sucker punched me. Thank you for this.
