Gloria Serge was walking her dog in the Spanish Lakes Fairways neighborhood where she lived when an alligator attacked her dog. She managed to save her dog’s life by pulling it away, but she was eaten alive by the alligator in the process.

If I lived in a place like this I would never ever go near 100 feet of any water body. Also shouldn't these lakes be fenced with only one outlet to keep track of Gators.
This is a case of complacency. To many many locals get complacent. Even here in Australia I see it all the time locals swimming or getting to close to the water despite warning signs. The croc population is growing and because crocs are territorial they are forced to move further away from known areas. And yet when a human enters a crocs territory and gets attacked that croc gets put down. It isn’t like you see crocs breaking into everyone’s houses and taking their children.

They live in Florida, where there are over a million alligators. They build a big lake. They go for walks along it’s edge with small dogs. One day, an alligator comes out of the lake and kills them. Who could possibly have foreseen that? MAGA!
